The 3rd party sites were part of the issue though, they put a lot of illegal stress on the servers.

What the heck? None of the paid items rely on the tracking! Shit happens in mmo games all the time and stuff gets patch out till they fix it and to reduce the issues that a broken feature can cause for the game. All the whining over the 3rd party apps you use or bought stop working is just how life goes with a TOS.…

Hate to break it to you but Pokemon Go didn’t make it worse. People raise without any common sense or awareness is what the problem is.
