I am not a stock person by no means so this could be completely wrong. Wouldn’t the current Tesla evaluation be saying that Tesla has the capacity to pretty much overtake all mature automotive companies? That seems like a pretty crazy evaluation, sure Tesla has growth but that much more than established mature

This is the best take.

Panasonic makes the batteries, not Tesla.

Tesla stock hit $900 for one reason only - enough people believe that some sucker out there will pay $901. Tesla is doing well and is a growth company but their stock price is pure speculation at this point. When the music stops it will not be pretty.

Adjusted for inflation this is $57,000 in 2019 money. And people think cars are expensive now. Cars are cheaper than they have been in a long time.

So I’m not the only one that thinks it’s crazy that Tesla is being valued as if it’s going to own like 40% of the car market?

Boeing said MCAS was feature complete...

You can like and want a pension. They’re great for the employee, if they manage to get the full pension. However over time, they end up strangling the company and the pensioners get screwed too.

I fail to see how a used Jetta is a significant step up from that Mercury Lynx.

Vehicle condition is a poor reflection of financial situation or personal responsibility. I grew up in a town that employs a large number of PHD equipped scientists getting paid 6 figure salaries, and they drive some of the most dilapidated beaters you can imagine. It gets them to work and back, and thats all they

Well, they could side with the California states, which are pushing for a higher emissions standard. Siding with the Trump admin, who are pushing for a lower standard, is literally a

If I can easily handle 85 mph speeds through the Appalachians in my 55hp flatbed I think the American people can handle a hatchback making 178hp.

If Mazda stuffs this thing in a CX-5 and can show better MPG numbers than the RAV4 Hybrid, they’ll print money. The kind of people who buy hybrid family transports couldn’t care less about having more HP.

Somebody let grandpa on the computer again.

As long as someone isn’t trying to pull into the spot on the other side it is totally fine.

Built...not engineered. Huge difference.

I take issue with the idea of millennials or GenZ killing” or “saving” industries. What is killing the automotive industry (and dairy, jewelry, etc) is capitalism. The tenets of capitalism keep wages low, but raise prices as high as they will go for max profit. Over decades, this philosophy prices younger people out

That’s funny, when something breaks every millennial I know just finds a how-to video on you-tube, orders the part on Amazon and fixes it themselves, while their boomer fathers complain about how “you can’t fix anything anymore because everything is too complex”.

this should be fairly simple with an arduino or raspberry pie (simply read what the single for each command and set that as a command for the desired effect. you would have to code the light effects yourself but shouldn’t be that hard as a lot of the led libraries are already available in open source.)
