From my understanding: It’s easy to make dumb HP numbers for advertising with electric motors. You just dump a lot of battery charge. Especially given that you can just add in extra motors. Using motors with smaller peak numbers isn’t going to really give you more range in the end.

If, like Israel, the vast majority of people are vaccinated, then the majority of people hospitalized will be vaccinated. But your chances of needing to be hospitalized while vaccinated are around 1/30th compared to unvaxxed.

If you said I had to ride on a bus with 50 school age kids I would get vaccinated every morning. And I don’t just mean Covid, give me every vaccine that exists.

If only 73 drivers quit and they are 500 drivers short, then the shortage isn’t really about the mandate, is it?

My 97 Taurus gave great service from new. I sold it to my dad at 60,000 miles and he drove it to 130,000, then it went to my sister until she finally got rid of it after 180,000 miles. No major mechanical problems along the way, but the interior got really ratty. Most of that was my sister’s fault however.

I was frankly expecting something like this to happen, though not to that magnitude. trump has been lying from the start, and spreading conspiracy theories on social media - which itself should have called into question whether he was fit for office (among quite a few other actions/statements he made).

I was listening to talk radio this morning. I’m also horrified by the amount of people STILL calling in, after ALL THIS SHIT, and saying things like the following:

I was less horrified by the events yesterday and more by the vast numbers of people that apparently didn’t see it coming. (And also the lack of appropriate response. Those morons should have been gassed before breaching the Capitol.)

I have gotten a lot of vitriol for wearing a mask while driving. This includes being flipped off, brake checked and my favorite: being paced by an angry, glaring, shouting person.
