Considering camper vans are generally much more expensive than hotels unless you spend lots of time in them with short hops in between extended stops, you’re certainly onto something...

Electric is great.  But beyond just the emissions, the amount of real estate we dedicate to cars is staggering.  Ultimate case study would be Detroit.  Population in the metro area has increased over the decades, but the city proper population has plummeted - all enabled by cars and constant expansion of roads.  Saw

Does anyone know exactly where this is in Guizhou? I wonder if it is really intended for people randomly turning around or if it is used as part of an on/off ramp system. Outside GE Aviation in Cincinnati, there used to be several flyovers that were designed to pick up traffic from the plant and allow them to get on

True story :

If you ever want to know how full of shit extended warranties are (and even the supposed reliability gap between makes), consider this:

Years back, I looked at the price of an aftermarket warranty for a Pontiac Vibe vs. a Toyota Matrix, just to see how awful the deals were. The warranty on the vibe was

Just checked availability at OGG for today, renting for a week.  Limited selection, but no problems finding something for ~$700 a week.

Our town in SW Ohio actually set up a “practice” roundabout course at a local park where the police department has golf carts and instructors to teach you how to navigate any roundabout you’ll see, in addition to signage like you describe

And still people fudge it up on a regular basis.

Is it really that big of a deal that the sign says Arret and not stop?

Been there and driven through there, and never thought for even a second that it was an issue of any sort. I mean, the majority of those in Quebec speak French as their first language. What is the issue?

Agreed.

Net cost of $68.66 per month per car in my case.

In order of acquisition:

1997 Ford Taurus (new) : $18,200 (owned 14 years)
1998 Toyota Camry (used) : $12,000 (owned 15 years)
2010 Mazda 6 (new) : $17,200 (owned 10.5 years)
2006 Ford Fusion (used) : $6,000 (owned 5.5 years)

24 years of car ownership, 2 car garage, total combined cost = $53,400

Or the ones sending death threats to other Tesla owners who buy a Mustang Mach E and give it positive reviews?

1st dose of Astrazeneca gave me headaches, odd joint pain, and fatigue. 2nd dose was barely noticeable.

1st dose of Moderna for the wife she barely noticed.  2nd dose she had chills and shakes for a few hours, but continued working at the hospital through it.

2nd: Of course Tesla wants higher penalties. Without emissions credits, Tesla would be losing significant amounts of money. And with other automakers now making their own EVs and plugins, the supply of credits has gone up and the value has gone down. They desperately need something to boost the value of those credits

Consider the alternatives to VMTs before staking an opposition to them.

You could have the redneck backwater legislature we have here in Ohio, where they charge $36 (at the state level) for registering a personal gas powered vehicle (of any size). But if you have a hybrid, they make that fee $136. If you have an EV,

Only issue for using mileage from inspections (or add it to plate renewals) is that it would assume all driving was local.  I put about 6k per year on my daily driver, almost every mile in state.  My wife’s daily driver is the one we use for trips.  It gets about 11k per year, about half in state and half out of

The Tesla was only about 40' in front of the work truck when the BMW driver made his aggressive pass. That’s borderline for safety for changing lanes for the Tesla at that short of a distance.

I see that the Tesla passes a white work pickup on its right, so, okay, that’s reasonable, but why did it remain in that lane after that, especially with a car behind it clearly attempting to go faster or pass on its own?

WTF is the source of this claim? Trump does considerable business in China. Biden? Where does he make his money from them? The Hunter deal that there is no evidence he was ever actually involved and never actually went through?

Many negatives with Tesla still, IMO:

* Too few service stations
* Expensive ass parts
* No right to repair - they seem fine just disabling your car if you don’t fix it through them
* Poor build quality
* Tesla’s insistence that multi-thousand dollar repairs every couple years are “normal wear and tear” when any other car

Can’t make it even in the one corner because of whatever that thing is on the ridge. I had to go with a non-perfect array myself because of the exhaust stack for the water heater.

But can’t we agree that an imperfect array still looks better than that beaten up metal roof?

Eat my 35 panels.  :P
