For what manufacturer in what plant? Because of all the plants I’ve worked with, NONE would waste an engineer’s time on something as mundane as testing hardness, taking quality measurements, etc.

Um, no, they aren’t engineers and programmers. I know these people personally. They’re neighbors and friends.
2nd: Model 3 isn’t anywhere near that profit margin. CapEx doesn’t drive OpEx - it drives depreciation. Reducing CapEx doesn’t drive up profit margin until years down the road when equipment and facilities are fully depreciated. It only adjusts cash flow.
3rd: Source?
4th: I’m not talking years ago. I’m talking in the…
Yeah, but the GOP STILL screams about him being a socialist. Constantly. Same with Hillary.
They’ve predicted consistent profitability for awhile and haven’t managed to do it. That means a healthy level of skepticism. And if they fail again, then yes, their finances are strained VERY quickly. They don’t have that big of a buffer ($5 billion in cash sounds like a lot until you realize how many billions you…
Laws governing safety and work conditions are rarely effectively enforced. Violations happen all the time, with large corporations basically able to respond with deep pockets that make it impossible for workers to recover damages. This has gotten infinitely worse with recent supreme court rulings.
Example: A company…
There’d be a certain level of humor to it, though.
Because while the GOP has been screaming that Democrats were socialist for decades, under Bush the government took control/ownership stakes of quite a few businesses - Fannie, Freddie, AIG, GM, Chrysler. Under the “socialist” Obama administration, all but Fannie and…
Oh, I see a ton of people in the 60-80 age range riding those damned things around Walmart, hopping up, walking a fair bit, then sitting their almost invariable large rears back down and riding around again. Maybe you don’t consider them able-bodied, but they would be if they hadn’t been riding scooters for a decade…
It makes far more sense than your moronic proposition that you can fit your knees in a 2" wide strip the size of an airplane seat armrest.
Sit your short ass down.
You clearly ARE lying about being tall if you think what you apparently do. Look at the picture? Did you notice the size of the person’s knees? Your “spots for the knees”? Only big enough if you’re two dimensional. Hell, the person’s knees pictured not only completely fill your “spot”, but go into the area behind…
Complain to the steward all you want. It isn’t going to work, because they’re going to come back, see that THERE IS NO SPACE FOR YOU TO RECLINE, and tell you “tough luck, buttercup”.
Trust me, assholes like you have tried that before. The worst thing that’s ever happened to me for existing and not being able to…
Not all airlines lock seats in emergency rows. They do tend to lock them in front of an emergency row, though - so that the reclined seat doesn’t block the exit. They don’t always care if the seat back in an emergency row goes back into a non-emergency row.
He isn’t tall enough to have a freaking clue of what it is like to be 6'6" (me too) or taller.
Call the flight attendant all you want. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR YOU TO RECLINE. PERIOD. It isn’t about me being an “asshole” (in your words) wanting space for myself - its that there IS NO SPACE. The airline will NOT be on your side. I guarantee it. They can’t warp space time and create space where they’ve left none to…
If you believe a word of what you wrote, you’re short. Sorry, but its the truth.
If you’re tall and have long legs, your knees are in the back of the seat in front of you even when its fully upright.
If you ever sat in front of me, you wouldn’t be reclining. I guarantee it.
As long as there is a bulkhead, absolutely.
I used to be VERY VERY loyal to TWA because they gave me one of those seats automatically every time I booked with them, despite low annual mileage.
The person in front of me is not going to recline, whether they want to or not, because there is physically no space for them to do so. But I don’t care for these devices. Why? Because to use them, you have to be able to lower the tray table. If you can do that, then you have at least some room you can sacrifice. I…
The person in front of me isn’t going to recline. Period. End of discussion.
It’s not because I’m a jerk - its that they physically will not be able to, thanks to the airlines eliminating all knee room.
Of course since CO2 is part of your emissions and is fundamentally tied to mpg, they can simply regulate CO2 emissions to a point that effectively forces an mpg standard.
That’s actually not that far off the number of murders NYC had in the same time period - 236 through september.
