Cheeto Coolidge Benito now thinks that because the US government, with all its resources, can’t stop all illegal immigration, that the Mexican government magically can?  And he’s going to violate a treaty to get what he wants?

The man is insane, as are all of his advisors.

Congress needs to seize the right to review any

Why the fuck should I have to pay to check a bag?

You’re being no less entitled by demanding that I pay so that you can have more space.

I’m 6'6", with much of that in my legs, not torso. I can’t physically fit in the seat if there is something under the seat in front of me.

I’d gladly put a bag under the seat in front of me. But the fact is that they don’t have enough room as it is - the only way I can physically fit in the seat is to use that space for my feet and contort my lower legs into it...

So fuck it, I’m putting both bags in the overhead.

Since when did the flight crews not yell at people for getting up while the plane was taxiing? Every flight I’ve been on, they threw fits at people who got up at any point from the plane pushing back to reaching the altitude where the crew is allowed to start moving around the cabin. I mean royal fits.

Worst was when I

Well, traffic through Dayton is pretty much normal already...

Well, we haven’t closed nuclear stations yet, but they’re blackmailing the state for support at this point. Ohio has a bill going through the legislature that pulls all state support for renewables (we had a very modest target of 12.5% renewables, which is WAY below what even the American Petroleum Institute

I like EVs. I like their potential, and I think they will eventually dominate the market.

But Elektrek and Teslarati just annoy the crap out of me.  They aren’t the least bit objective, and insanely dismissive of any competition to Tesla or criticism of Tesla.

What state and region? It was in my previous post - PJM - That’s southern Ohio, western Ohio, Eastern Indiana, SW Michigan, Northern Illinois (including Chicago), West Virginia, Virginia, parts of western Kentucky, parts of northeastern North Carolina, DC, Maryland, Delaware, almost all of Pennsylvania, parts of NE

I pulled PJM data for last night - middle of the night, our generation mix was nearly 75% wind or nuclear.  Thats not atypical - even though natural gas overall accounts for about 40% of our generation mix over the course of the year.

If this would happen and they would buy Rivian, they could even get their plant back.

It’s a real pisser when you used to be a black but had to replace your computer and forgot your burner and now are permanently gray... :/

I think it’s clear to see that Wall Street Analysts are full of shit.

If Ford lays off 23,000 more salaried workers, that would mean nearly 50% of all salaried employees would be let go.

Who the hell does this idiot think is going to design and engineer the next generation of vehicles?

Typical wall street thinking -

Did he have a choice?

My Fusion was under recall for the better part of 3 years for its passenger airbag before Ford finally got the parts available and fixed it.

And in most cases, taxi services are regulated to ensure these repairs are taken care of, but rideshares are not. So held to a completely different standard, although the rider may not realize it.

Hell, last car I bought was almost 4 years ago - a 9 year old Fusion. Since then, its KBB blue book has increased more years than it has dropped (overall it is down, but the last year or two have seen increases of a few hundred a year, and it isn’t in the $2-3k range, its still above that)

“The company’s recent appeasement announcement for U.S. investment involved $749 million going toward domestic manufacturing capacity and job growth in an effort to show its commitment to its U.S. foundations.”

I don’t think that’s a great example - the sample sizes for the 2015 are far too small to make any meaningful conclusion.

In addition, just looking at combined averages can be misleading. For example, on my old commute a manual transmission would have been miserable in the constant stop and go. In my new one, it would

Originally, they were pretty much one and the same - but people kept complaining over the years that they couldn’t match the test figures. Its not so much that the vehicles couldn’t get to that figure, but that the test setup was so wildly different from real-world conditions (ie, extremely gentle acceleration, few
