“He can hardly speak Alabaman” — this did make me laugh hard enough to make my girlfriend look over from her work.

The sedan is meh, but that wagon is the shit.

I’m hardly what you’d call loaded but I was shocked by this same disparity lately in my own life. I went to order my new M3 at a BMW dealer nearby. Test drive and experience was flawlesss and I left with a delivery date and zero stress. My buddy came with me and it turns out he’s interested in an Accord Coupe and

Yup! The wagon is mine too. Dinan 3 now plus H&R coilovers and M3 control arms. Stoptech pads/rotors and stainless lines. Super sports on the ZHP wheels.

My E46 has more steering feedback than my ‘17 comp package M3...

I cross-shopped the M3 and ATS-V. I did end up getting the M3 but was amazed at how good the Caddy was. They’re catching up...

I have an E46 and an F80 comp package M3. Love both but guess which has more feeling...

    Yes please!

I’m a BMW fanboy. They need less, not more. I just got my new M3 and finding one with the comp package and a manual was way harder than it should be...but they also have fifty million varieties of xDrive28i to choose from instead. That said it’s a PHENOMENAL car. I liked it more than the admittedly excellent M235i I

Serious question: I’ve always loved the S2000 and would love to get one. The torque thing doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but how much does it cramp the fun factor? For perspective my other cars are a ‘17 M3 competition (6MT), ‘03 Dinan3 Touring (5AT), and ‘04 S60R (6MT). Each of these — even the NA 3 Series — is

God I love this car. It was on the showroom floor when I picked up my M3 and I couldn’t stop staring at it.

For me it was a comprehensive suspension revision on my Dinan 3 wagon. Before any other tuning/work I went to H&R coilovers with M3 control arms and myriad suspension components courtesy of the guys at my local BMW indie. What really made it shine was the setup by people who knew what they were doing and knew my

I wouldn’t say the 300 really “competes” with the E-Class or 5 series — at least not new examples of either.

I understand the logic here but part of me still hates it

If that were $27k I’d write a check.

I love the V70R. I have an S60R. Even with stellar service records from day one it’s a PITA as far as maintenance goes. Before you scoff: I had two VWs before that and now the S60R shares a stable with two BMWs. It’s not an unreliable car per se, but it needs way more attention (and budget) than our friend here is

I agree. These are really getting sloppy/sensational.

Tried to get my dad interested in this. It was a no-go at $50k and he ended up with a Volvo S60 T6/Polestar. In close second was the S4. Maybe he’s not the target audience but he wasn’t that interested in a Chevy at that price or a car that wasn’t really a looker and still had a whiff of the Wal-Mart crowd. Then again

I never cared until my dad got an S60 R-Design/Polestar. Damn those seats were and are amazing. My BMW sport seats felt like coach class after riding in a Gulfstream. I still have the BMWs but when I wanted a winter/highway cruiser I only really had one choice with Volvo thrones and a manual:

This is a great comment and I appreciate you taking the time to help make this a more sane and civil place — even if your intended audience doesn’t think so.
