Easily one of the greatest bands (Becker and Fagan) and albums of all time. Masterfully conceived and recorded.
VW sales are slipping because they're going downmarket on all of their cars — the reverse of what you're suggesting.
It's close enough. My point was that people will buy VWs even when they're in the same range as more prestigious brands. I'd happily buy a $40k VW and I'm 100% American. That's barely even a premium price point either — you can find a $36k Ford Fusion right on Ford's website. Hell, you can spend this on a…
I bought a $33k VW. I may be one of the few (none) you reference.
I know we say this a lot, but so help me god I will buy this faster than a brown diesel wagon with a stick.
Stop stroking the vanity of your customers/potential owners. This is just so Bethesda housewives and bankers (DC reference) can say "mine's bigger" to their other asshole neighbors.
Hahaha. I would know. My coworker from NY who hates cars says mine is great because he can always pick out a red hatch when he's meeting me somewhere. Stealthy it's not...
I'm 25. I'm on my second GTI. I've had my name in for an S3 for months (i.e. perfect target market). I have no interest in an A3, but VAG is having a hell of a time getting the S3 into the states. I've been told the fall now. What is taking so long?! Wonder if this supply issue is part of the problem.
Came here to post this.
Thanks. Nice looking. I don't have any problem googling but it's fun to see the actual interior!
Thanks! It's so clean. Love the simple and direct interior.
Give me a miata with the 2.3 Turbo and 274 bhp and point me towards where some paunchy corvette owners are so I can taunt them.
Can you post some interior pics?
Nice price if only for rarity. My Dad drove one of these (a '74) and I've always wanted one. It's a sweet little Euro Coupe as you said in an age of giant iron. I always liked that he chose such a strange and fun car as his first — probably why he instilled the Jalop spirit in me at an early age!
Reminds me of the older (E39 and before) M5s not in specific looks but in character - brutal but understated and elegant!
That said — the base model still seems like a pretty good deal...
A base M235i is close to the optioned price on the Camaro. Yes, you can always option it more but I still think the Camaro's fit and finish just aren't up to that price. I'm not necessarily anti-domestic either — I think Ford does a little better in that area.
An M235i will match this in a straight line, be agile around town, have an interior that doesn't look like it came from a Wal-Mart storage aisle, and not make you look like you struck oil behind your trailer.
