I read that too. It does look really nice and I want to see it succeed. That said, I probably won't be the first guinea-pig and will probably keep my '13 Mk6 (my second) a little while longer.

Golf R is definitely on the list.

    This ^^

True and fair. Stock they're still neck-in-neck so I should have focused (no pun) on that argument.

Seriously? I'm sick of the ST love around here. Yes the steering is sharper but the car isn't the full package. GTI is still the best all-around and it has a real interior and not some blue boy-racer dream. Plus, with DSG the GTI is neck in neck with an ST. Even a mild APR tune and the stock ST is history. Am I a

Completely agree. I had the great pleasure of meeting Fred Simeone a few times before he opened the museum. Great guy and an unbelievable collection!

This just isn't true. I can spend this on a car and love small fast hatches. Plus, I live in the city. Don't underestimate the number of people who want small and sophisticated to coexist. I'm not talking Camry or A4 volumes, but this definitely speaks to urban buyers who also tend to have some dollars to spend. My

GTI owner here. So much want. I would pay this. With the inevitable a APR tune this could outgun a Golf R and be way cooler-looking doing it.

So it's just like audi's stupid "S Line."

Nope. Me too in a heartbeat.

American probably only in the past few years. We made some pretty shitty cars for a good long time...

Glad to hear this. I'm on GTI number two and I'm so tired of the bashing. If you take care of them they're great cars.

That's exactly the kind of spirit I'm glad is absent from my local "Cars and Coffee" event. It's held in the DC 'burbs and is literally in the center of more than half the wealthiest counties in the country and I've never seen that level of bullshit elitism.

That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I happen to like M BMWs and AMG Mercedes...

Wish I could download an integra kit to make at home.

Fair enough. I should have specified that I was thinking more of the "King Ranch" and super cab variants...

Well technically small trucks (Rangers etc.) and full size trucks (F-150s etc.) are both used. The former mostly for workmen and people doing projects, the latter mostly for housewives in Texas and guys who think driving a truck makes them look butch.
