I’m assuming it didn’t sell very well, just like the original low-end Model S didn’t really sell all that well either. Most people are buying the high-end trims in both cases, it seems. These tend to be seen as luxury goods, and trim level preferences seem to reflect that.

Yeah...no. You need to learn how to use logic. They expressly instruct you that you must remain aware, and the system warns you quite strongly when assistance is needed.
