And after all his good work preaching the superiority of the Soviet Union, Nikolai Volkoff gets nothing.

Serial and Making a Murderer both fall into the same trap — the journalist is somehow surprised!! that someone accused of murder could act normally when not committing crimes. Not ever murderer is slobbering raving lunatic all the time.

"I was in the graveyard to dig up a corpse and have sex with it!"

I think the problem is that the monsters are ostensibly the villains in these movies. I assume they'd be the ones crossing-over. No one wants to see generic action protagonists team up.

It's like the Onion editorial "This Scripts Pretty Much Writes, Directs, and Universally Pans Itself" was taken seriously and Universal did try to launch a franchise. I'm looking forward to the Western version of the Headless Horseman.

The most outrageous part of the premise is that there are still niche magazines with fulltime staff.

This Steven Bomb was just…I dunno…okay? It almost seems like Steven finally facing up to what his mom did felt rushed, which is a strange statement since he's been grappling with it for a while now. To me, it almost felt like the plot point ("Steven goes to Homeworld to face his destiny") forced the story instead of
