I’m more interested in whether or not UCDavis’s vet school has spayed/neutered these cats than I am in their diet. 

I mean, UCD is the top veterinary medicine school in the nation, so it seems reasonable to trust that they know what they’re talking about. Cats and dogs don’t react similarly to obesity the way humans do, it is much worse for them and significantly shortens their lives.
