The Ford GT is a homologation special built, bespoke, by a race car company. The Corvette is a normal production vehicle built on a GM production line using standard GM parts and practices.

Not sure what situation you would suddenly need to go into neutral for, but if you did, I think once you knew where the button was you’d be able to tap it pretty easily. Just like you can adjust the volume or turn your radio on without looking after you’ve had a car for a bit.
