The windows shrunk and the rear slope got crazy. After my beloved Suzuki SX4 hatch was recently murdered, I decided on Hyundai Kona as a replacement, but I wish the rear was more boxy. More hatch, less tiny “SUV” looking. The other options were even lower or no AWD so I felt there was no other choice.

Just imagine this but someone with actual design abilities doing it.

I love how they went against the “ooo look, the roof is floating because we glued black plastic to the c pillar”, instead using a bold chunk of metal. I choose to see it as an intentional rebuttal of that silliness.

If it comes in AWD, manual, AND the 2.5, I may have to trade in my two existing Mazdas.

I know this matters very little to most people but honestly and truly the Ford chime is absolutely one thing preventing me from considering a Ford product. Is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I welcome this

The Pontiac I respect is the Vibe. 1st gen was decently fun, and 2nd gen didnt look too bad even though it was a step backwards.

I kinda disagree. Just like turn signals and wipers, the audio buttons should stay in the same place regardless of RHD/LHD, especially since these are mostly auto-trans cars.

I remember my e46 had audio controls on the left side of the wheel, so shifting was free to happen without regard to what was playing on the radio. I wonder why they changed that?

Fair point! Fads come and go. Everyone hated their parents’ station wagon. After that everyone hated their parents’ mini-van. Eventually everyone will hate their parents’ crossover and we’ll be on to the next thing.

I’m of the opinion that if you are not currently attending a college or university or a grad than you shouldn’t have their bumper sticker on your car.

Gotta admit buddy, your Mazda looks amazing, especially after all those miles. Nice design and body shape to begin with as well. Never seen one in public as I’m positive we never had them in the UK or in China. I commend you highly for keeping such a great vehicle in working shape and keeping it glorious looking.

Didn’t realize the TSX back seat was cramped. Sigh. Maybe a lowered Outback?. I guess that makes it easier to keep what we’ve got. The Legacy is my wife’s so it’s the 4 speed auto (non-gt). I thought about the GT, but she didn’t care about the performance so it didn’t seem worth what we’d be spending in gas. I still

The best Ford is a Mazda.

Rust is zero-sum across the universe. By removing that rust, he has ensured that another vehicle has become more rusty. David just needs to find that other vehicle, and I have full faith that he will.

and preferably leave the minivan off-road where it should belong. As a mechanic I would have to pay a customer to drive off with a welded up patch like that. he actually welded to rust (terribly) when if he knew half of what he was doing he’d have cut the rust away and welded good metal to good. After his WIFE IS

1. Yes

So many great things to say about this, obviously brilliant father with good judgment:

I had a 94 SE-R followed by a 99 Maxima SE with a five speed.  Both very good cars, especially when compared to the competition at the time.  SE-R > Civic SI, Maxima > Accord V6.  Sadly, no longer.

I had two of those, the Maxima and the G2o.  Also the earlier G20, and a 2002 Maxima.  And a 2001 Pathfinder.  All were excellent cars - I miss good Nissan.
