Agreed, I think the 2008 A4 Wagon is the ultimate. The new Golf wagons aren’t bad either, I’ve just always loved the shape of the 2006-2008's, and the manual. I have an F31 wagon, and I have regrets that I don’t have a TDI manual wagon, but the wife wants AWD.

Even on October 31st?

I’m sure that’s it. You can pretty much count on any “news story” to get the details wrong.

I mean, DUH. This article and comment section is a tragic misunderstanding of the situation.  As if the bridge would expand a full foot or more down towards the water?  oy.

That seems to be a very important detail that this article did not mention. But this make 100% more sense than what I was imagining.

This is exactly what happened in Holland last year during a hot spell. My money is on this option.

This makes a lot more sense. The variability in vertical clearance due to thermal expansion of the bridge would be far less than the variability in vertical clearance due to water surface elevation change from wake or rains or something like that.

Ahh, now that makes sense. The article was poorly worded.

I believe the real issues is that it got so hot and expanded to the point where it could no longer do this:

I have questions:

I’m glad I’m not the only one to use a tarp to turn a hatchback (MK7 Golf TDI) into a dump truck for mulch and yard clippings.

I know it’s an aero/fuel economy thing, but I wish modern hatches and to a lesser extent wagons didn’t have such small, steeply sloped hatch areas. I think that really hurts them on the practicality front while crossovers can still get away having a more upright hatch. It seems to have become a “thing” in the past

Only the Blazer is made in Mexico, the Acura, GMC, and Nissan are made in USA.

Except this has even less glass.  The visibility out of it is going to be absolute shit.

Pour one out for the Nova.

Legacy name aside, the Nova was a good car and far better than anything else GM was building at the time.

Nice work!
