I watched a Let’s Play by a dudebro called Candyman something-or-other who usually played COD. He went through the emotional arc of the main character, feeling the same things at the same times. It was impressive how well it predicted what he would think and feel.

Agreed. BG3 is one of my new favorite games, but the overly thirsty companions and jiggle/dangle physics were just too much.

No ground combat or boarding?  So it’s entirely just sailing around and firing cannon barrages?  Super lame.

A lot of that is because the novelty is gone, and that the devs fell hard into the classic sequel trap. The mistaken idea that a sequel has to be bigger, more complex, etc.

I’m glad that Apple devices will now be more open, and that consumers will have the option for more choice.
