I kind of agree with Whateverdid6. As a fan of the series since FF8 that has gone back and played many of the older games I never felt like being turn-based was a major part of the series identity. It’s the familiar terminology, the monsters, Crystals, Cid, the eidolons/GFs/Aeons/etc..

He’s using the submersible as part of some elaborate serial-killing.  Puts his victims into an antique diving suit and holds onto them with the submersible’s manipulators.  He takes them down, and watches and laughs as the pressure smushes their bodies up into the helmet.

I wonder if GabeN’s submersible has stereoscopic 180º cameras for making immersive VR video... 🤔 That would be cool, and seems like something he would do.

It’s nothing new, but it remains to be seen if sticking to this will work or prove a mistake. The downside is obvious, needing to make a new character, level that character, etc. which isn’t inherently fun; I just did all of this, and now you’re saying to start over?
