@hungryemo: Actually, Ray is right. Ratings never hold up. There are a few exceptions, but these are extremely rare (e.g. The Big Bang Theory that got very popular only after 1 year of being on air).

@brianbeatdown: No, the two SDKs don't have to be 100% the same. So far, Apple has given the feature to the iPad, which probably they consider it more computer-like, and they consciously haven't to the iPhone.
Everyone I read online they present The Event as either alien-based or religious-based (apocalypse etc), but I think that these disappearances of people/things, show that it's a sci-fi showing two different parallel universes or timelines colliding.
@Captain Fish, PhD (c): Actually, it is. From what I know, the iPad has the ability to tell iTunes to let it upload through non-understood formats. This is why VLC can have all these different format files, all synced via iTunes.
I got to admit, I enjoy Vampire Diaries. I think the actor who plays Damon is amazing, and it fits the series so perfectly, that makes it worth watching for me.
@bazookafox: I guess they didn't mention it because ALL episodes must be watched. :-)
I agree with you 100% on ST: TNG. Viewers should start from the third season. Seasons 3-5 are amazing, best *social commentary* on TV ever made! Then it goes a bit downhill again. Every kid should watch these seasons though. For me, it shaped who I am today in terms of opinions on stuff.
@NaraVara: The Apple Remote for iPod Touch does not support networked libraries — only local ones. So all the other problems aside, the experience would still be bad without the Apple Remote application.
@Swobo: I hope so! If there's a USB port in there to add an external hard drive (seen as a local drive), then I don't mind it at all. But network hard drives and streaming — no way!
@NaraVara: What are you talking about? How do you even know that the iTV will let you stream from a random NAS and not only from iTunes? I don't want to have a PC ON to stream — I explained above why not. And a NAS server is not for sure to be supported. You have no details about such support, and if we're to get…
@flacster: None of your two solutions work for my needs. I need my iTunes' smart playlists, and my song ratings. I didn't spent hours and hours rating songs just to get back to a completely generic list of songs.
@NaraVara: Yes, and I explained why I don't want to do this. I updated the reply above about streaming.
@Nitemancometh: Yes, at 3x the price though.
@sethcollie: The problem is, I don't want to stream. I don't want to have to beg Comcast to allow more than 250 GB of bandwidth per month, just so I can watch MY OWN videos. This will become ridiculous really fast.
As I wrote at that other site too, 16 GB is not enough for my needs. I have a large music collection, and I'm a filmmaker, so I have lots of video too. Streaming is cumbersome for my needs, so I'd prefer a 500 GB hard drive instead of just 16 GB of flash storage. The lack of 1080p doesn't bother me as much as the lack…
I personally disagree that hardware shutters on phones make better photos because of stability. Clicking the shutter requires quite some strength, which results in moving the whole device while clicking, creating worse pictures. Lightly pressing on the touchscreen though doesn't create as much shakiness. You can use…
I too hope that someone at Apple takes care of that app. I'm using the Apple TV as our music system (not connected to our TV, but to our amplifier/speakers), and I need this app to remote-control the Apple TV for music.
@Wilson: I use the PS3 as my video system because it is the most powerful (CPU speed decoding-wise) device on the market. The AppleTV offers the best music experience though, with the Remote App. There's nothing better sitting on your balcony, or on your couch, and visually browse the albums/artists to pick what you…
This app is one of my favorites, and I use it to control my AppleTV. I *only* use my AppleTV as my music service to my speaker system, not as a video device - therefore I need the Remote app to control it, since my AppleTV is not connected to a TV.
@victoriousjay: I was thinking of the same thing (I own a 5D MarkII too, which I use exclusively for video shoots). However, without battery support this solution is not nearly as attractive. Most of us don't have a generator when on location.
