Meh. While it is a problem with the US in general. This company (from what little I know of it) seems to have billed itself as a woman owned and family friendly business. It clearly isn’t one of those things, and no point to accept it coasting on the other for good PR while fucking over it’s female employees.

This whole thing is fascinating. Americans really will overconsume anything, just for the sake of buying shit. The experts are right - inflation (at least in the US) is your fault. Despite prices going up, you can’t help but keep buying shit you don’t need.

But would you have read it if the title didn’t mislead you??? Gotta get them clicks!!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with the main, uh, thrust of this article, but also feel like “sex negativity” and “Y’all are not fucking enough” are kinda two sides of the same shame-y coin. That whole “Go get laid, nerds!” dookie touch unnecessarily undercuts the legitimately fucked-up aspects of this story and the good

Counter point: Greek life mostly sucks. The people involved in sororities and fraternities wield influence on campus and beyond, through job market networking, in support of a social standard that everyone involved tries so hard to meet that it is only questioned when someone falls out a window or needs a fucking

I mean, did that make it better? The problematic thing was that they killed her. Do you thing having Nazis say a certain word would be a surprise? They’re Nazis. I think the only black woman in the entire franchise deserved better.

I think people are just looking for reasons to complain about Pete at this point and this is more to do with certain progressives not liking that he’s bourgeois.

Why put yourself in that situation anyway.  Why are we so dismissive of bad behavior.  What he did was not cool and was definitely some vigilante shit, but I’m getting damn tired of seeing these type of videos were young Black folks are running out of stores with shit and then people get upset when some of these

I don’t know, he seems a bit past his prime.

None of it is real. They don’t hate or love her, they only love themselves and they hate anyone different from themselves.

Posting is his “passion,” he told the news station, so he’s intent to return to YouTube.

It is important to note because not all minorities have our back, and that hate and racism isn’t limited to white people.

I could make fun of your dead mother until the end of time and you are not allowed to physically do anything about it.

if that was the first time he’d made a joke about her, I doubt this would have happened

Developing a thicker skin through having a sense of humor is the ideal response! Everyone should have that goal, and practice developing it. People should treat each other with kindness, but it’s a harsh world out there, and it doesn’t provide a lot of safe spaces.

As a fellow older millennial, I sometimes wonder if it’s sort of like an immune response. Younger people from some backgrounds haven’t really had to deal with bigotry that was common in the open even like 10-20 years ago. Having not dealt directly with that, they have a lack of perspective on dealing with bigotry

I’m an older millenial. I definitely appreciate that it is less socially acceptable to insult and deride entire groups based on sexual orientation, race, etc. It is great that there is so much attention paid to being sensitive to the impact of our words on others.  But goddamn did we take getting offended too far.

The only “attacking” was Will Smith hitting Chris Rock. Words are not violence. jfc . . .

I agree with you 100%, but I think people’s acknowledging and apologizing for their own garbage behaviors should be a separate conversation from them disclosing sexual assault, domestic violence, or hate crimes they experienced. Otherwise you’ll have people apologizing just to get those things taken seriously (or,

That was just the character, you see...
