Just to prove to you how worthless anecdotes are: my neighbors have a Model S, X, and 3 and they pre-ordered a Taycan.

It’s hardly unreasonable to compare the two existing luxury performance electric automobiles on sale at the moment. Furthermore, the Taycan 4S costs within $5k of the Model S Performance and has the same build quality as the Turbo S.

It seems to me that these people are shitheads and the reaction to their incompetence and immaturity has absolutely zero to do with people’s opinions on climate change.

You’re going to be so disappointed when you hear what they make the F150 Platinum out of.

Are you okay?

So whether you’re hiding in the glow of your phone at a BBQ, being forced to work, or just having one day of blessed silence before counting down to the next federal holiday, you still have plenty to read here on Jalopnik. Go ahead, put your feet up, and marinate in the cars.

Lol Mercedes Benz is absolutely a luxury brand. The company also making commercial vehicles and offering stripped versions of vehicles (which is de rigueur throughout Europe) has nothing to do with their luxury status.

That sounds more like a Hannibal purchase...

Since Western intervention in the Mideast and Africa began many centuries ago, soldiers operating behind enemy lines had two imperfect choices. They could sit in the cozy protection of an armored Humvee or MRAP, but let everyone know who they are and what kind of heat they’re packing, or they could bounce around in a

BACON N’ EGGS DEAR!

It’s exciting that GM can offer such an impressive package at this price, but it has almost no impact on the 911. The average 911 owner is younger, wealthier, and is statistically likely to purchase another Porsche in the future. If affordable performance was what sold sports cars Ferrari, Aston-Martin, and

I was referencing the GT2 RS Clubsport, which is track only.

What are you ‘wut’ing about?

Ford shows up out of nowhere forty years after the original and once again beats the competition.

Neither Ferrari nor Porsche have streetcars in this vein. In fact, Porsche did this exact thing last year with the GT2 RS. More downforce, slick tires, more power and it’s a track only car.

Someone else already posted the 1/4 mile times and the 911 is 1.5 sec faster so it seems like light to light would be a good race to pick for the Porsche.

That 911 is lighter and has more power with less than half the displacement. They accelerate similarly and the 911 would walk away from it on a track.

I could sit here and bemoan how the M series doesn’t use actual motorsport-derived engines anymore

Because I’m a nerd and kind of like the “secret” history of this car:

“...a tall heavy vehicle with huge wheels will NEVER be sporty.”
