This is demonstrably false. They were also awful in 2014 while they had the best power unit and their “size zero” packaging was a momentous failure which set them back multiple years.
The vast majority of work vehicles and really anything that moves (trains, boats, construction equipment) and is bigger than an F150 runs on diesel power in some capacity. Diesel is not about to die.
