I gave it a rewatch recently. I thought it held up extremely well. The acting is superb, the cinematography is top notch, it’s paced really well, and it explores nihilism and loss and existential dread in interesting ways. Some of the dialogue is rough, and it’s a testament to the cast that it doesn’t sound

Things I hate about CAH:

Yep, I rewatched it yesterday for the first time since it was in theaters and liked it more than when it first came out. Aside from the silly glowing fire people, it’s up there with the best Marvel movies.

42 points on 30 shots is actually above average efficiency. Each shot yielded 1.4 points on average. Leaguewide, the average possession yields .99 points. Also, players who take a lot of 3s frequently shoot below 50% from the field because 3s are harder to make. However, shooting 40% from 3 is equivalent to shooting

I understand that Harden's play style can be annoying and excruciating to watch, but if you don't appreciate this performance you can eat shit.

Harden just willed the Rockets back from down 17 at half, hit the shot that sent the game to overtime, and hit the game winner in overtime, after the refs made egregiously bad calls that hurt the Rockets.

Y’all act like every other player in the NBA doesn’t “foul hunt” because they care more about the integrity of the game than Harden does. He’s just better at it than anyone else in the league. Grow up.

I love these Rockets and I love algorithms.

I really don't think that's what's happening here. I think you're intentionally seeing liberal bias just to get riled up and feel some sweet sweet righteous indignation.

Got 'im!

We get it. You liked God's Not Dead 3 and it hurt your feelings that critics hated it. I think you'll survive.

I was very underwhelmed the first time I watched Scott Pilgrim, for many ther reasons listed already (I thought Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were boring as hell). After 4-5 rewatches, I absolutely love it. Outside of the leads, every other actor kills it, and Edgar Wright has such a gift for sneaking jokes in

You nailed it. Thanks for articulating clearly and elegantly

The mental gymnastics you consistently do to discredit a team whose playing style you dislike is ridiculous. Grow up.

This is one of my 5 favorite Deadspin posts ever. I love ambiguous language, I love beer, I love bar strategy, and I love sassy debates among friends. This article hit a magical sweet spot I didn’t know existed. Dennis, if you’re reading this: thank you.

Boat, is that you?

This is the first time in the history of professional sports that the same 2 teams have played each other in 4 consecutive finals.

Answer to Question 1: As has been articulated elsewhere, people are upset because the outcome of any given season has become predictable and boring. We just saw the same two teams compete in the finals for 4 consecutive years.

Albert is incapable of saying anything nice about the Rockets. If the Rockets can add another star this summer (won’t be easy given their cap situation, but Morey is brilliant), I think they beat Golden State next year. They probably would have this year if Chris Paul hadn’t gotten hurt.

I don’t blame KD for maximizing his chances to win championships. I’m still bored and frustrated that we’ve seen the same two teams play each other in the finals four years in a row. I’m still bored and frustrated that barring injury the Warriors will probably win the next 3 championships. I’m sure I’m not alone in
