An engine produces power by pumping air. Displacement is defined as the volume of air it pumps in one full cycle. Just because it doesn’t have cylinders doesn’t mean its displacement can’t be measured.

Buy both and then you’re covered if anything breaks, as long as it’s only once.

Then again, some nomenclature refers to 180* V’s as “flat” and the other type only as boxers.
