I thought it was a bad idea to not have the ok of Lucasfilm because those guys don’t play around. Especially getting connected to Disney and we all know how protective Disney is of their properties.
Woof!
TeamDogHQ is currently immobilized.
I am using this as an excuse to post a picture of my dog, who is considered by some to be ugly-cute. Yes, that's a hotel room. Yes he goes on trips with us.
My overweight Rottweiler/German Shepard/Chow/Husky mix and I are just like socks and sandals: Fucks given = 0.
thank you for being kind <3
This is just the most perfect comment. Beautiful! All the stars!!
OH MY GOD. LOOK AT THE FUZZY BELLY.
The adoption agency I adopted my cat from didn’t tell me about her cystitis, how to treat it, or what it would cost me financially.
I know, I’ve worked with foster dogs too. But come on. Pairing an inexperienced owner with a shy dog is just not a good idea. This is the result, 9 times out of 10.
Is taking the voice box out something that’s actually done? What kind of horrible vet would do that? That’s awful.
I think you did everything you could do with Cheddar.

Yeah, this is hitting me right in the throat. The bit about the dog’s howls following them down the street......One of my great fears is having to give up one of my animals. The thought of them trusting me, depending on me, only to wind up in an unfamiliar place without me just makes me dizzy with sadness.
Lauren, you have my warmest thoughts and my hottest tears. Pets are family, and what’s more, Cheddar helped usher you from being engaged to being a family. Much respect for sharing your story.
I have worked in shelter medicine on and off for a large chunk of my adult life and I want you to know that you are the type owners I love and respect. I had people turn over their dogs for reasons like “My new boyfriend doesn’t like him” or “she doesn’t match the interior of my home” and the perennial favorite “I…
The shelter said he’d be shy, but that’s all they said,
Really a very beautiful story. Be proud that you could recognize that your home was not the right home for this dog. Terriers in general are not the best city dogs as they generally prefer lots of wide open spaces to run around (as most dogs do). Wishing you the best of luck on your marriage. #teamDog
