it’s not a mainstream brand, but the sony xperia is the last OEM i can think of that has top-tier specs and still includes an SD card slot

how does the s22 handle photos of your kid? i’ve got 3 wiggly girls at home and my s10 has produced a lot of blurry shots with weird skin tones over the last 3 years. i’m looking at upgrading this year, does the s22 capture kids effectively or am i looking at becoming a pixel user?

+1 for puffin rock! some friends found it and introduced us to it. the show is so chill, it’s the best for early mornings when you just need to turn something on for younger kids to give yourself some wakeup time. it’s also REALLY cute to listen to 2 year olds say the name Oona.

same here. my biggest interest is getting the google assistant and access to google apps. my wife and i share a lot within google’s ecosystem like calendar, keep notes, drive, etc. being able to do some quick things on them while keeping samsung’s health tracking and hardware would be perfect.

i feel like asus often gets overlooked in ‘best of’ articles and lists, usually overshadowed by ThinkPads, Spectres, XPSs, and Surfaces.

so how do you handle an almost 7 year old whose bedtime is 8pm but regularly doesn’t fall asleep untill 11pm and wakes up at 8am? I mean, i guess 9 hours is enough but dang, those 3 hours between 8-11 are just a constant stream of ‘i’m uncomfortable’ ‘i’m thirsty’ ‘i’m hungry’ ‘can you sing me a song?’ ‘can you tell

eating before any workout makes me want to vomit

shoot, once i find a vaccinated sitter, i’ll pay them dang near anything for a few hours out.

I haven't seen any consistent messaging, do they have headphone jacks?

consider adding GymRun to this list too. I moved from Progression to GymRun since Progression hasn’t been updated since 2017. GymRun has a free tier, payment tier, then subscription tiers depending on what you want. It has companion apps for WearOS and Tizen, and I believe they are developing a Garmin app as well.

when will phone service replace home internet though? spectrum can kiss my grits and all i want to do is leave them behind

the pixel line is supposed to get security and OS updates on day 1. The Xa pixel series doesn’t have any IP rating. The Pixel 5 does though, so maybe that would be the direction you’d want to go.

agreed. i like the shure IEMs (can’t remember the price off the top of my head). they do the passive noise blocking instead of cancellation, which has all been more effective for me. i’ve been able to set my ipod back in the day to the lowest audio setting and it was still plenty loud over a lawn mower with that style.

That's how I feel. Switching from chrome to edge is good and all, but firefox gives me way better battery life on PC and Android.

i like doing bicep curls shirtless in front of my wife. i’m not buff or anything like that and i hate using my resistance bands, but i’ve lose 26 lbs since may and i like the way she looks at me.

no doubt, bixby is doodoo. if fitbit would adopt a traditional circular design, i’d probably switch just for access to the Google Assistant.

honestly, 85% of the reason i went with the samsung watch over a fitbit is because of the design. the squircle look is just so dang ugly.

dad tiger from daniel tiger’s neighborhood

so i get that peanuts movies are classics, but i can’t help but feel like they’re actually kind of terrible. my parents/brother love them, so we watch them with my kids, but there’s so little redeeming about them. they’re just mean to each other, relentless teasing and name-calling....why do we still watch these?

1. seems crappy to use another company’s product to test, then decide to create your own product based on said testing.
