@TheFu: I voted for Zimba... of course they have an desktop client that can handle multiple email accounts.

"Believing You Can Be Smarter Actually Makes Your Smarter"

@B1663R: I know there is UK content that isn't available to the states... so it's likely content provider driven, not Boxee driven.

@acrididae: They have provided a Boxee Beta 64-bit build for Ubuntu... I'm going to give it a try as soon as I get home.

@Wesley Evans: I've never tried it, but I know there is an option to automatically detect DVDs, CDs, etc... I'm not sure that Blu-Ray is an option.

@jwjmaster: From what I know of Boxee, I don't think their intent is to provide such support. I believe, however, you can connect to a MythTV backend which would provide that connection. I don't know how well it works, though, as the last time I used it, I prefered the MythTV interface for live TV.

@ptc: I didn't look at the breakdown, but the implication is he is buying a nonsubsidized (unlocked) phone which wouldn't have the tie-in to a specific plan. As far as whether TMobile provides that, I can only go off his indication they do.

The fact that Google Wave was in a dead heat with email shows the bias contained in conducting such a poll. Regardless of the fact that Google Wave isn't available to the public, I'd say a great majority of people don't even realize it exists. So considering almost every computer user has and uses email, this is

I don't pay for cable now, so any subscription would result in an increase in my monthly bills and quite frankly no single show is worth paying for.

wouldn't the game actually be in 4D (or something beyond)?

well its a much better design that most of what Dell ships, but it's not quite there in my opinion. If you consider, as mentioned, that you are sacrificing performance for appearance, I'd like to see it cleaned up a little more. Chamfered edges? Way too thick bezel around screen? Ugh.

First, does "dig" even work in Windows? I don't use Win7 or Vista, so it may have been added and I just don't know.

So... let me get this right... Google wants you to use their OS (eventually), browser, applications, email, DNS, data cloud... is their goal to BE the internet? I might have to find my tin foil hat again...

@bikeman07: In my experience LiveCDs still allow you to install programs. So I'd stay away from persistent versions and start anew every time when it comes to banking. Better yet, I'd mix the Virtual Machine suggestion with the LiveCD and boot from an ISO. That way you don't have to reboot your computer or waste a

Sure... but I call them computers.

@Bokusatsu_Tenshi: Hackintosh does not equal Atom... so really it just affects netbook Hackintoshes.

To me, this only emphasizes how clueless network execs are.

Everytime I start thinking I might get Win7, primarily so I can answer other people's questions when they ask me for help, I see things like this that reminds me why I don't like Windows and I'm happy to live my Ubuntu machines. #windows7

For anyone who uses MythTV, you can achieve a similar effect by adding a Hulu Desktop button to your Myth menu that will execute Hulu Desktop.

In all seriousness, can someone outline the advantages of Win7 over XP for a user that has not used Vista (ie. no bad taste in my mouth). Personally I use Ubuntu, but still use XP for work and would like to know the benefits. I've used Win7 RC, but really haven't found anything that impresses me. #windows7
