I’m with you - the tail light pattern is a dead match, and the proportions look correct.

Keep the mustang. My sister and I grew up with our dad driving a Pontiac Firebird.

How do I import this.

Is “fondling” the right word to use here? It sounds like he just touched a couple butts while posing for a picture, and used the same old guy joke every time. Fondling implies there was some sexual angle which I don’t think was the case based on context.

I think this is actually how/why most people use dynos. That and tuning.

I don’t think it’s going to be spun off entirely and sold at it’s own exclusive dealership. I think Corvettes will just be branded and marketed as their own thing, and sold out of Chevrolet dealerships, in the same way that the Viper was for Dodge.

Nah, it’ll be a Corvette. They’ll have two Corvette models - the stingray, and the (for example ) tiger-shark.

I have a feeling the rumors you hears are correct. “Corvette” will likely be treated as a separate brand by Chevrolet, much in the same way that “Ram Trucks” are with Dodge. And since they already brought back the stingray badge, they can just name sub-models of the Corvette as you suggested - “manta-ray,”

It would actually be more like an 800hp Hellcat engine in an Atom, due to the added weight of the Hellcat engine in comparison to whatever tiny motor those things come with.

Fuel economy, comfort/ride quality, utility (it’s a wagon), and most of all, price - the V70 polestar is the cheapest of all the cars we’re talking about by a pretty considerable margin.

You’re exactly right, and that’s sort of my point.

Take a look at performance figures for both cars (not that they even matter in the real world) and you’ll see that they are more or less identical. I also think the Volvo looks better, but that’s just my personal opinion.

I’d probably go for a V60 polestar over an M3 or C class AMG as a daily. Cheaper, better fuel economy, and it’s available as a wagon.

Hey now - let’s not be too hasty with Richard Petty. Sure, he has some severely outdated social and political views, but let’s not forget that the man can wear the shit out of a cowboy hat and a pair of Oakleys.

If I had the money, I’d buy this thing just to let our man Doug lay some rubber up and down his street.

I don’t think any of those guys are complaining. I think it’s more likely limits set by the city of Monterey that have been in place since the track opened, and which Laguna Seca tries to abide by.

The fact that you glazed over the fact that this thing tows 8,700 lbs makes me feel like maybe you missed the point. I’m actually surprised that hasn’t been more of a marketing point for this thing.

The towing capacity on this thing is phenomenal. 8,700 lbs is huge. That alone is a huge plus, and in my mind sets this thing a step ahead of it’s competition in many ways. Take a look at the towing capacity of similar “sport” SUV like the X5M, GLE 63, Cayenne Turbo, or whatever else.

Laguna has some pretty strict sound restrictions, and many dead-stock performance cars are already too loud to run at the track.

I’d rather pay $15 to get my cell phone back right away than pay $5 and have to wait 2-3 business days including time to ship a box to an uber driver which he then has to himself ship.
