Yes, that hair is just horribly dated, but she was very hot. And she kind of still is, looking at that 30 Rock clip from only a few years ago.

I don't think it was Willard, but I remember that one. Dan begins to lighten up on the guy when he learns his long-time partner recently died. It's also notable because the guy is on no way a stereotype.

There was nothing wrong with that actress, really. They just didn't give her much of a character to work with.

That's true to some extent. But it's a fairly typical sitcom thing to end with a joke to lighten the mood even if you get serious. The show did now and then try to get dramatic, and could get kind of lame at that point. Moralizing Harry Stone can get as annoying as late-MASH moralizing Hawkeye. But I suppose the

Harry the Hat is also basically the persona Anderson created for his own comedy. If you see some of his stand-up back when he first started, he is playing the same "1950s con man/gambler/magician" that he plays on Cheers, more or less. Even his character on Night Court is a variation of the same.

Hey, Kathy! You just handed your enemy another great distraction from what we should really be focusing on. Even worse, you are making some people grudgingly take his side. That was some really stupid shit.

But did you think it was okay when they did it to Obama? I think both are terrible things to do.

But people don't consider Ted Nugent a "mainstream" celebrity who gets much more exposure. Everyone expects crazy shit from him.

Oh, it can offend. But that doesn't mean there are no consequences when it does.

"You're not helping" is the perfect point to make. You are not going to get more people on your side doing something like that. It'll just drive them further away.

I'm no fan of Bill Maher, but I did agree with his point that the Democratic party lost — at least partly — because they spent too much time complaining about language, people being offended, etc, instead of focusing on defeating Trump.

It's not as if Trump isn't getting his ass kicked by comedians, liberals, news media, etc. I don't think we have to have all or nothing. Call Trump whatever you want, fight his policies, and protest in the streets. Do all you can to oust him over the next four years. But isn't there some line that we can say is

So in other words, you're not a real liberal unless you wish conservative politicians were dead? Of course you can despise Trump and still find this distasteful!

She seems to only do things to get attention. All of her comedy just screams it. One of those "Oh, no, I can't believe she said that!" comedians. And she didn't get really popular until she started telling funny stories about meeting celebrities.

I'm never a fan of qualifying things with "Yeah, but if THEY did it…" If it's wrong to do, it's wrong to do. Doesn't matter whether some other idiots did the same thing. There'd be a terrible outcry if someone had a photoshoot suggesting they killed Barack Obama, too, and with good reason.

Yes, some channel is showing it, but on my cable system it's a low-def channel.

It was certainly the first time I heard of the guy. He became a really good sport and showed up on an episode from time to time. Of course, all the jokes were usually at Harry's expense.

I always loved that line. I think it can so easily apply to those of us with geeky obsessions, hoping somehow we can find someone that shares our weirdness.

People seem to forget that while the "Must See TV" label came out in the '90s, NBC had a hell of a lineup in this era. The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers and Night Court. I think you're doing pretty well when Night Court is considered the weak link. It's surprising how well, then terrible, a network can do.

As a weirdly television obsessed person, I often wonder if "Harry the Hat" would've become a major character on Cheers had Night Court not come around.
