I figure some of it was considered harmless because it was so absurd, and I'm certain I really didn't understand most of Dan's behavior.

I recall an episode where Dan's old college buddy shows up after having a sex change operation. Yes, early on there's a lot of humor people may label "transphobic" today, but Dan is criticized for it. He eventually accepts him, and there's even a conversation where the friend explains how he never felt right as a man.

Can I just prefer he gets impeached or run out of office somehow?

I find it especially brainless for one of the critics mentioned above to mock Harry's style of comedy. The entire POINT was that his idea of jokes were lame and old fashioned, and he was consistently mocked for it.

Looking back on this show in recent years I was surprised how filthy the sexual humor is with Dan Fielding, especially considering my parents didn't mind me watching it. I'm pretty sure it was that character that introduced me to the idea of weird sexual behavior, including costumes, and toys, and role-playing, etc.

This is a great show, but I feel like like it should be emphasized more that it really didn't become what we know of as "Night Court" until the third season. It was close in the second season, but it really needed Markie Post and Christine for all the cast to click. Season 1 seems very different. Aside from the two

So, in other words… if you ignore the genocide, he's worse than Hitler.

"How did you get the stool that high?" becomes a dirtier joke the more you think about it. But apparently vague enough that no one complained.

The man won so many Emmys in a row, he took himself out of the running.

I'm probably just never going to be amused by any joke suggesting wishing some real life person was dead.

I think the guy playing Jonah is more of a match for Julia. He looks a lot like her real husband, Brad Hall. Seriously, check out some pics of him from his time on SNL.

Yes, at its worst I believe sunset can come as early as 4:30 during that time. And it makes winter so much worse.

Everyone's favorite statutory rape movie.

"In keeping with the spirit of the original Baywatch, the female supporting cast is just there to be ogled…"

Because some people are amoral assholes.

Casualties in a war are somewhat different. Yes, you could argue that there is no justification for any of it, but it's different when you literally, purposely want to kill innocent people and children.

The problem is that it is one big, vicious circle. We have to stop the terrorist killing innocents, but if you try to do that by killing terrorists, you make more of them. If you try to change the entire country they come from, you become a target. It's a very uncomfortable thought that it feels like there's no way to

No, the indiscriminate way many of these attacks happen, they obviously don't care who dies. Just maximum death and destruction. That's why they call them terrorists. They use the internet and other media to spread their message and unhinged people buy into it. While the Orlando nightclub shooter was likely going

Just brilliant, responsible reporting. And they are smart enough to know that most of these attacks know are turning out to be people recruited/inspired by the terrorists' online and other kinds of propaganda. And ISIS is just happy to take credit.

I think there is a weird disconnect when a celebrity is involved. While it's a horrific tragedy what happened, people tend to focus more on the people they "know", and many feel like they know celebrities.
