It must be some of the youngsters around here for whom the Christmas one has been put out as a classic. Vacation was one of the original era of semi-raunchy comedies that we are now getting a second run of.

Yes, the original is very popular, but has been eclipsed by the better — and much more family friendly — Christmas Vacation. The original was R, included nudity, etc.
I do get annoyed when something that in real life can just be a slip of the tongue is a major production error.
I think I love every Futurama casual mention of the fate of 1,000 year old celebrities. And it's always something as absurd as the notion that any Hollywood would be remembered 1000 years from now.
Obviously, whoever labeled that envelope just confused bees with wasps and labeled it wrong.
Symbolism!
Wait, I though the current guy was the Nazi. I'm so confused.
Yes, and I'm sure that's something EMTs, nurses and doctors have to deal with. They have to assess the patient right now in case their injuries are life-threatening, no matter what they're going through mentally.
Yet again, the AVClub headline man tells us what emotion he feels about something. And assumes we all do, too.
Man, this scene works so well. As I read this article I just remembered the scene and agreed it was very well done. But damn it if I didn't get emotional just watching the clip itself right now. I think it does help knowing that someone did go through it in reality. And the woman's last line about "You're going to be…
Seeing public figures people play themselves in a movie really shows you how difficult it is to play "real life" in a fake movie. This woman does a very good job of just acting like she walked into the scene as if she thought it was real. She sounds perfectly natural/professional.
The real sniper has been accused of lying at various points of the book it was based on. Some say he made himself sound like a bigger hero than he was. BUT, I think the reason the movie resonates with people is the fact that it shows the toll. That part of it seems to be the main point of the movie. Some people wanted…
Emma Stone and Jane Levy. Especially if they're both redheaded.
Movies really do have an inability to recreate a seemingly real news report. It works better when it's a real news anchor.
Vote Quimby. He'd vote for you.
Oh, and I recently saw that Wojo's Girl episode. I wondered if it was some attempt at a secret pilot for a spin-off or something. Very different than the rest of the show and it wasn't really any good.
You're right on that one. Very unusual especially for a cop show where all the real action took place off screen, described by the actors.
Much too short, Internet. This is basically a brief definition of the term. And not even bringing up comedies is strange, too. Seinfeld's "The Chinese Restaurant" episode is basically a bottle episode, and it was one that they've said almost saved the show. Or at least proves to many execs that a show "about nothing"…
Another example of a whole ensemble of actors being good siblings is The Waltons. It probably helps that they were kids and were essentially growing up with each other.
For another example of unhealthy sibling relationships, see The New Adventure of Old Christine. The show is very strongly mediocre, but it has it moments. Christine and her brother's relationship is so weird that it's weirdness is a major part of the plot.
