I just got my first Android phone and I've been trying to figure out all of the apps that are going to work for me. I just found Tasks yesterday and was wondering if LH would bring it up given past affection for Astrid.

Totally giddy about getting my MotoX. Supposed to arrive next Tuesday which I think it entirely too long. That being said. Moto Assist sounds like a pretty cool app. Any other Moto specific apps you've found to be a pleasant surprise.
Just wanted to throw http://www.soundslice.com/ out there for people to check out. I was trying to learn guitar a while back and I found this site. People take videos of popular songs or other music playing from sites like YouTube and VEVO and then put tabs that run along the bottom as the song plays. Depending on…
I can't say it's working yet, but we're spending a lot of time in timeout right now. I have a just over 2 year old that's very high energy and a 1 month old. We're pretty sleep deprived and exhausted to say the least and my 2 year is definitely trying to challenge us at every step. She really has no interest in…
How do I discipline my kid? Unsuccessfully.
It's not often I out and out disagree with LH, but I think have to here. I tried to put together a resume using Google docs and it was kind of a mess. It seemed like I could never keep the formatting consistent; it was always different depending on the computer I was looking at it on and when I tried to send it to…
I want Watch ESPN and NBS Sports. College football and EPL.
How many people really and truly own their home? As far as I can tell, no one really owns my home. It might be in my and my wife's name, but I still owe a boatload of money to the bank for it. And as often as not, I feel like it owns me given the time suck it feels like sometimes to maintain it.
I'm generally not opposed to generic brands of things, but I have to say the Trader Joe's version of Cheerios is no bueno in comparison to the real deal. We got some for my daughter to replace her Cheerios and she wasn't digging them. Couldn't figure out why until I tried some myself. They tasted more bland and…
No disagreement there. Most of my suits are off the rack. I've found some really great suits at the Brooks Brothers outlet. Someone mentioned in one comment thread on here; get the shoulders right and a good tailor can take care of most of the rest.
I think that's sort of a subjective thing. If you didn't purchase it as a suit, then it's not a suit, from my perspective. You have a pair of slacks and a sport coat. That works for a good number of situations, but I'm not a slacks and sport coat kind of person and I would have to buy a suit.
I think I gotcha now. Yeah, made to measure can definitely be had for under $1k. You can get one for a around $850 from Suit Supply in DC.
Highly recommend looking at thetiebar.com for your tie/pocket square/tie bar needs. A lot of store want to charge absurd prices for those items and thetiebar has high quality products at a very reasonable price. Ties and tiebars for around $15 and pocket squares for around $8, I think. GQ regularly features tiebars…
I'd go with navy first personally (plain navy, no pinstripes), but that's a little bit of personal opinion.
Every man needs at least one suit. Even if it sits in your closet 99% of the time, you're going to have occasion to wear one at some point, and you don't want to get into a situation where you don't have it and need it.
Where you getting your suits custom made? Starting prices for custom made suits around here are going to start around 1k and go up.
I just started using it again, as well. So light and easy to burn CDs (yes, I still do this). This makes me a sad panda.
For those of you that instinctually head to the settings menu for every app you install, you probably already know this, but you can manually add all the sports teams and stocks you're interested in—as well as your home and work address—without waiting for Google to figure it out. Just tap on the magic wand icon at…
Biggest suggestion I can make is get the lightest weight shoes you feel comfortable wearing. I overpronate when I heel strike, but I switched to a more mid/forefoot strike and bought a more minimalist pair of shoes to accommodate that. In addition to having a much smaller heal-toe gradient they were incredibly light…
Completely agree. The time I would spend looking for someone to confirm this deal (and likely the first person I ask going to get their manager or someone who can actually approve this) is worth WAAAAAY more than 99 cents.
