@Thrillkiller: You had an issue - the game's aspect ratio was horribly distorted.

@Darrisbob1: Nah, the rest of your comment was ill-informed, too.

@Darrisbob1: Taking business advice from a guy who can't spell "barely" is probably not something a wise person should engage in.

Wow, is it just me, or is that a total rip-off of the Persona series game art?

Well, duh. The PS3 has like 8x the graphics RAM that the PS2 did and outputs at 4x (minimum!) the resolution. If they didn't quadruple the texture resolution, it'd look like trash.

@Shteve: And, notably, no one's calling FF13 "the 13th chapter [of Final Fantasy]". A better way of terming it would be "the 4th game in the series". Chapter implies some sort of connection with previous games, and that's just not really true here. If you pick up P4 without playing P3, you'll not have missed anything

Calling this the "4th chapter" is misleading as hell. The games aren't connected very much at all - excepting Persona 2 IS and EP, I suppose.

@Christoph: Have you seen her in the game? If anything, they toned it down.

Whatever it turns out to be, I'm interested. I'm really like my Zune 30gb, and I think the Zune Pass is a wonderful balance between subscription and buying. My only real "want" on the feature end is GPS with Live Search.

@jobble: At least with Persona 3, the gameplay layout would have been slightly awkward for a handheld - when you're in the dungeon, you really don't want to stop until you hit the next teleporter.

@Ramza69: Depends which PS3 he has. If it's not a 60, 20, or original 80... it won't.

@remanance: Seriously. The opening sequence of Persona 3 was _insanely awesome_, and a good bit of that was because of the gun-style invokers.

That fits in with what I saw. When I was at the stores, I definitely noticed that GH/RB were very well stocked. Some of the places had actually pushed back their usual 360 game selections to make more room for them - not the best of decisions, I'm thinking.

@VilgeDuin: The DLC has already been announced as not coming to the PS3. Blame the PS3's lack of system memory.

@iamthebozz: Nope. But then again, PSP games are region free (not UMDs, though) and you can select English menus, so I'm not sure why it would matter so much. Hell, the Japanese PSP firmwares tend to have more/better features than the US ones.

Man, I love Arrested Development (which is where the picture is from).

@wirebrain: Yes, leaving Games Workshop as the sole larger competitor in the space is a decidedly bad idea. Their prices are already absurdly high, and they absolutely wreck the game with every other new edition (it doesn't even matter what the game is!).

@BlueToast: Actually, they don't. PS3s seem to be at least as vulnerable to dying in those cases as the 360s.

You review the game as it is when you review it. If you feel that waiting another week would yield an experience closer to the experience most users will have, then you wait a week.

If I can get Todd to sign my game at the Rockville one, I might just do it.
