Another legend gone, RIP.

Her theme for Goldeneye was just one of the many, many high points in a astonishing career. RIP to a true legend.

I wasn’t a big fan of BT back in the day, as it seemed like a bit of a departure, plus, there was the downer ending, but I rewatched it a few years ago and enjoyed it, and Tina Turner’s performance much more. RIP TT, so many days of my youth were spent watching your videos on MTV....

Speaking of Scharpling, didn’t you mention that you were an SCTV fan? He did a great interview with Joe Flaherty on his Best Show podcast/streaming variety show this week. The interview starts about twelve minutes in and runs for another forty minutes.

This looks kinda bad, to be honest. I’m reminded of Harlan Ellison on Star Trek: The Motion Picture — the heroes meet God, and He’s a computer or a child, or both.

The members of the C7 Corvette flying roof club would like a word about “quality control” but yes it always is easy to shit on Tesla.

1st Gear:. Boy you really have a hate on for Musk - “regret”. I don’t care for the man on a personality level but give him credit when due. By the way, that idea is not original to him. It’s the way Henry Ford ran Ford for years until “experts” decided that they had a better way.

Its not exoneration of Tesla.  It’s confirmation that peoples blinding hate for Tesla causes them to overlook the same issues elsewhere.

Back in uni, in me Film & TV unit days, we had this awesome deadpan lecturer, a slightly embittered, chain-smoking lesbian who’d been a veteran of the TV production trenches.

79 year old in a fight scene.

So if Weinstein were a really nice guy, completely fair and ethical, never assaulted anybody, was a really crappy business man who lost all TWC’s money, had to declare bankruptcy, then sold off the company, how would these stars be any better off? Because the way I understand it, it’s the bankruptcy that gets

“It was that second battery that was dead, after the car had sat for too long — apparently because the car’s charging system turns off when the big battery is fully charged, and, then, the big battery stops charging the smaller one, too.”

Whoever was operating the vehicle was actively doing something to defeat the autopilot safety measures. Even on autopilot you have to provide input to the wheel at regular intervals to confirm you are still paying attention and in command. Some people attach things to the wheel to add weight, so the car “thinks” there

This article is trash. Jalopnik used to be the place to go to get unbiased and informative car news. Sad to see that you all just waste your weekends trawling local news websites for Tesla crashes now.

I know Jalopnik has a hard-on for shitting on Tesla but I don’t understand what Autopilot is being called out here. I pulled a map of the city and the only place where you find cul-de-sac there are in subdivisions where you have no business driving at speeds that would cause you car to be obliterated on impact.

1.) EVs are profitable and have been for a while

Unfortunately, that ‘Beta’ bit is often dropped

Yeah, I love how everyone said just wait till a real car manufacture makes an EV and yet Ford, VW, and others have been delayed, had recalls, and various other problems getting their Tesla killers out the door. Maybe instead of telling Tesla that #makingcarsishard, we should all acknowledge that #makingevsishard.
