For real. I felt like this movie was slated for 2023. I’m not ready!

total speculation, but i get the sense that this movie will ultimately be about Batman’s no kill policy. that’s the best way i can find Paul Dano’s Riddler to be threat. he’s trying to get a Young Batman, this fireball of hot rage and vengeance, to publicly murder him/someone. and it’ll come upon some personal

In terms of older noir, this cant be beat

It remains to be seen how comic book-y Pattinson’s Batman is, unless you’ve seen a preview. Honestly the aesthetic reminds me a lot more of the Rocksteady games. Not just the armor plating on the Batsuit — reminiscent of Arkham Knight — but the “bespoke weirdo” style costumes of the villains, which look less like some

This could be applied to so many superhero movies, where they try to stuff it with characters and end up losing the focus.

It’s odd hearing this because I recently rewatched it last week and was blown away by the screenwriting this time when not focusing on Burton’s visuals. I thought the pacing was tight, the characters had fantastic arcs, everything felt incredibly organic. I’d definitely argue it’s one of the best written Batman films.

I think Neal Adams was the one who actually popularized the “over the shoulder” look.

Jim Aparo was always “my” Batman artist, so the cape flowing over his shoulders just looks so right.

that is exactly how I feel about Batman Returns, despite also being a fan of DeVito & Walken

It’s Keaton’s body double, so we haven’t quite seen Keaton back in the suit yet.

Wow. This looks great.

Still hoping the return of Michael Keaton as Batman leads to Michelle Pfeiffer getting a new project as Selina Kyle, maybe a Catwoman Beyond scenario where she mentors a young Catwoman

The clickthrough tweet says that is his body double.

The flash movie is doing something like flashpoint isn’t it? That’d give them the rationale to do pretty much anything.

Yeah, that was my first thought too. I was under the impression that Batgirl took place in the Burton/Keaton verse (ignoring subsequent Schumacker films) in which Pat Hingle had played Gordon. I had assumed this Barbara Gordon would be Hingle’s Jim Gordon’s daughter.

I’m having a difficult time wrapping my head around Keaton’s Batman interacting with the Commissioner Gordon from Affleck’s Batman.

Nice! I hope you keep your copy in a safe place with low humidity.

I saw it on TCM last year for the first time in maybe a couple of decades and I could definitely see where they’d stitched the movie together to fix Wood’s absence. But it’s surprisingly affecting in parts, especially when Walken gives Wood the “mixtape” and says, “It’s me.” Also the stuff where they’re designing the

Yeah, I had to wipe my aging iMac over the weekend and then reinstall everything because it had been getting crash-y lately, so I know what it’s like to be at the mercy of technology.
