FALSE. Name any car that blends performance and efficiency as effectively as a Tesla does. They are by no means perfect, but they’re the best at making electric cars.

Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!

The hell he don’t!

Well, I always thought Kareem was the greatest, but my Dad says he doesn’t work hard enough on defense.

Meh, they’ll wait for the Model 3 results first to say anything. The Model S results are older and the platform is much older (I’m sure since it was launched there are cars that have leap frogged it in safety).

the driver hit a stationary tow truck at a high rate of speed, suffered a broken leg. His two children in the back had no injuries. they all exited the vehicle well before it caught fire. sounds like a win to me.

I can remove both hands from my Tesla Model 3 for 30 seconds at a time. It helps me on long drives at night, or anytime on the California freeways during stop & go traffic. Makes me less fatigued. Lately it has gotten better . . . or maybe I know better when to not use it, as in traffic filled transitions,

I find it refreshing that a star in the superhero genre doesn’t even bother to pretend that these stupid movies mean anything to her except a paycheck.

I kind of like Dreamcatcher for how crazy it gets, and how willing King is to kill off characters, but I will never understand why William Goldman, one of the best screenwriters of the 20th century, decided to preserve so much of the dialogue from the book.

So in other words, Tesla is an American car company

is there a way to find out exactly how many people have died in Teslas? i’ve been assuming that every death has been highly publicized, meaning that maybe 5 to 10 people have died in Tesla’s vehicles. if that’s a real number, that’s pretty amazing, even for relatively few sales for a car manufacturer.

So you don’t understand what Autopilot means, so you want to define a term established for 80 years, to something that it doesn’t mean?

Jalopnik, this would be a good time to illustrate how five star ratings are calculated. Your car is tested in many categories, and you get points. Tesla targets to pass these tests by a wide margin, so they get points.

On autopilot, I think people are maybe just a little bit generous on what an actual autopilot system on an actual plane does. Basic systems can keep the wings level. More advanced systems can track a heading and maintain altitude. More advanced systems can follow routes that are programmed by the pilot. Pretty rare

Tesla’s are very heavy for their size due to the battery. This makes a 5-star rating more impressive for their small car based off of your logic.

I have said many times before that Tesla deserves a great deal of credit for actually investing in a charging infrastructure for its EVs.

Not sure what metric you’re after but here’s what I know having owned an S for 6 1/2 years and a 3 for almost a year. I don’t have a real short version of this but I’ll try to keep it short. It’s worth noting there’s a lot of external variables that affect the range, exactly the same as for any ICE of course, but what

OK, I guess now we’ll get a bunch of people reiterating that Tesla is a scam and that as soon as the legacy automakers enter the market Tesla will get crushed.

Except, it turns out, maybe Tesla’s ten year head start on battery and motor drivetrain tech actually has paid some dividends? And the Model X doesn’t even

As much as I despise Elon Musk, one thing you have to give Tesla is that their vehicles are very efficient in terms of miles per kwh. Both the Jaguar iPace and Audi eTron are very inefficient in comparison.

As much as we complain that Tesla doesn’t have great paint, reliability, etc and the mainstream brands will crush them... We can now say the main brands are out with their version. In short: Mainstream Brands are car companies first and tech companies second. Tesla is a tech company first, car company second. And with
