Thanks to your stories, I joined OKCupid and now I have agreed to so many dates I can't even schedule them and feel bad for blowing people off. What a problem to have! If you had told my high school self that this would happen someday, she would have laughed you out of town and then eaten a tub of ice cream. Hell, if

Congrats! I'm starting an Ivy League grad/professional school next month too! It sounds like you're having an excellent last free Sunday! :)

I had a nalgene of rum & coke at the laundromat. Who says you can't be productive while pregaming?

Your friends sound amazing! Hearted for moral support.

::Hugs:: I believe crying helps, so please enjoy the following sad song. (unless sad songs don't help you, in which case, ignore!) It helped me through a painful breakup or two. Hearted for support!

I hope this works, otherwise I'm going to go hide and try again some other day.

This is Cinder, the cause of and solution to all of my problems.

That's interesting that your dream was about a real upcoming situation. My anxiety dreams are often unrelated to real life: 1) I'm packing and keep forgetting things, 2) I'm helping my grandmother climb stairs, but she keeps falling back down, 3) I'm rescuing a child from drowning, but they keep falling back into the

All your great stories about the pros and cons of OKCupid convinced me! I started an account today and had a blast just messaging friendly-seeming people all day. I've been living in my ex-boyfriend's hometown and my entire circle of friends consists of his extended family. I need to branch out. FINGERS CROSSED!!

I know what you mean. Both times I've said the "l word", it's been after waking up crying from a nightmare. Emotions are weird. :/

Seconded. I miss it now that it's gone. :/

I picked up a thrift store rice cooker and while testing it out, I ended up making Japanese curry for the first time (it's my favorite food, but kinda hard to find in Philly). It was amahzing. :D

If you like noir and whip-smart dialogue, you must watch this:

If you find motivation, send some my way! I'm moving on July 3rd and ended up reading Game of Thrones instead of packing today.

There's something in my eye... :') So lovely!

Depending on how sick and twisted you like your comics, I'd recommend

You're normal! Genial is boring... One of the big turnoffs that led to my recent breakup was that my ex could never contradict me or say anything unflattering, even in a joking/joshing/ribbing way. In my family picking on each other and debating is a sign of affection, and I think anyone who can't do that is no fun!

I would agree that Jezebel and Facebook are the first two stops, but one little mind hack I do is hide my phone. If I can't see that it's not ringing, I can pretend I have someone out there and it feels like a choice to be incommunicado.

I'm kinda in the same boat on the lonely/lazy front, so I have no good advice, but I wanted to say that I hope you love the personal training! I have had 2 trainers and loved the person and the experience each time.

Hi! It's great to meet all of you. I'd love to introduce myself, too, since I'm new around here and would love to start commenting! I'm 24 and living in Philadelphia, but I am a California girl through and through. I'm in the process of applying for a Master's program and moving into my first real apartment. EXCITING
