Poor guy is stuck in the middle. He’s criticized for liking the car despite its faults and he’s criticized for explicating its faults despite its bonuses.

Waymo and Tesla are solving for slightly different problems. Waymo’s an AV company, not a car company, so $20,000 sensor suites on top of $50,000 cars isn’t an issue. Tesla’s selling cars to consumers, so a set of $250 solid-state LIDAR sensors would drive the cost up, and that’s before considering the supply chain

Sorry, I read that as computing power from skimming. I’m well aware what resolving power is (don’t need to google). For resolving power of camera sensors, that can easy be swapped also, even easier than the computer, as you don’t have to take out the dash. It’s a non-issue if that was the main issue.

But Waymo is closer to not having it!

My brother-in-law has owned pick-up trucks for about two decades now. I think you can count on one hand the number of times he’s actually used the cargo bed to carry anything. He actually freaked out once when he found a scratch in the bed liner. He now insists on having a crew cab version even though it’s just

OK, no offense, but where did this Frank Stephenson appear from all of a sudden? Sure, he seems to have been involved in some important design projects, but “legendary”? Now, I’ve been following car reports since the early 80s, and the first time I heard of Mr. Stephenson was very recently when he started commenting

Ha good don’t buy it. Plenty of people who “get” it and like it. as for “real truck guys” check out Todd the Cybertruck guy on youtube, has a fleet of trucks and is wildly excited for the cybertruck and explains why in detail from a “truck guy” perspective. It’s been over a year and all this article says is “I don’t

Can you name some stuff that a truck can do that the Cybertruck can't? The only criticism I've found that's vaguely valid is the slanted bed walls, and if you can lower the cost of entry for a high performance truck by also lowering the fuel costs and increasing the interior space and function, then you're offering

Your could argue that the Cybertruck is “modern design” because it has no nonfunctional facades or needless decoration. Like most modern design it is cold and uninviting. It is vehicle brutalism.

I don’t think an electric car need to be designed for environmentalist, process and materials sure, but for aesthetics I love that we can make an EV with any shape and form it’s true freedom

1st. Gear: 4% Black representation at director level is very low, however, Asians represent 25% in the same group while whites are at 50%. I would suspect much of this is a reflection of the racial mix of STEM graduates from 2 decades ago who are now reaching senior management positions.

If you’re over it from just reading about it, imagine how the women and POC that actually get overlooked feel about it. Representation matters. A child can still be expelled from a public school system by a committee of adults in multiple for having dreadlocks because “that kind of hair” doesn’t look professional.

Because every Republican of the adult Boomer era spent all of the wind in their lungs convincing Boomers that the government was the enemy. Boomers have been a historically self-centered enough generation to have bought into it and rejected the collectivism that was one of the hallmarks of their parents’ generation.

No.

Go fuck yourself.

Yeah, I know probably about a dozen responsible gun-owners that enjoy hunting and target-shooting as a sport; I’m totally OK with those guys owning guns...in fact, I’m glad some of them do, because that means free deer sausage, venison, and wild turkey for me!

The other thing they all have in common, except perhaps Cain, is a public reputation for being assholes and nightmares to work with; which might have more to do with the state of their careers than being Trump supporters...that and a lack of ability anymore to sell movie tickets or gain ratings points. Vince Vaughn

And then he was so tormented over his ordeal that he committed suicide. But I see it as the system killing him.

America is very much not OK.
