If you have the money for this, you have the money for solar power which means you can drive this pretty cleanly regardless of how efficient it is on electric

Well, Ms. Evans is no longer with us and her estate filed the suit.

Got you my dude

A car with a boring silhouette, Camry TRD rear end and the worst front bumper I’ve ever seen on a car is not close to being good looking.

This design is going to be a hit with the douchebags. It’s ostentatious and hyper-aggressive in all the right ways. I’m just surprised that they didn’t black out all the lights and drop the suspension even further.

Doesn’t everything?

Careful not to trip over that low bar

Yes.

I always wanted to support domestic. Had a few. But I went to Volvo and never looked back. You never realize what garbage quality Americans produce until you hop in to a nice European car. It’s unfortunate, and kinda bummed me out.... but hey these Volvo’s are friggin sweet.

I’m not a fan, but Tesla basically built the EV market. Now everyone else is scrambling to get on board. They're being forced to innovate. I AM a fan of that.

Tip of the hat! Love him or hate him, Musk and his team have done something I would not have thought possible: created an automobile company from scratch that not only competes with the majors, but is worth more than some/most/all of them on any given day.  That’s really something.

Eh, like many automakers, it depends. I’ve driven the S, the X, and the 3, and I daily drive an NB Miata, so I definitely like driving.

The Model X really isn’t all that special to drive, and is probably the most “appliance on wheels” of the Tesla lineup. It feels every bit as big as it is.

The Model S is actually

Last week, Travis County commissioners voted to approve tax breaks for Tesla valued at a minimum of about $14 million over 10 years if the company invests $1.1 billion in the factory. The amount of the tax breaks will grow substantially if Tesla invests more over the 20-year life of the agreement.

Unless they legalize direct sales in Texas, not far enough!

Have you ever driven one?

Yeah, I don’t get the people whining about the emissions credits: It’s a real source of revenue. When planning their spending, Tesla would know the emissions credits revenue was coming.

I watched The Golden Child the other day (1986) and saw them showing $.99/gallon displayed on Gas Station signs. I remember being able to dip into IL and getting the same price in the mid 90s. Our gas prices are so artificially low it’s amazing. It’s also amazing how bad our roads and bridges are now because we’re no

I wonder if their claims only work for some weird European test cycle as well. My guess is that the EPA rating is not favorable.

Mazda never brought the Skyactiv-D over here because they never figured out how to make it meet emissions requirements. They got really close, but never quite made it. In fact, I read an article where an interviewed engineer wondered out loud how VW managed to do it. Funny thing about that...

Nissan was already on the right track too!
