I so want to put the deposit on one but they have no real colors. The blue is so dark it might as well be black, and I hate monochrome car colors with a vengeance. And Beige (sorry - “Moon”)? C’mon Polestar. Give us some actual colors. This is uninspiring as fuck:

I can’t un-see the smiling car face with giant teeth at the top of the OP. The headlights even have eyelashes FFS

“a crowded parking lot, where people are walking in front of the car with impunity”

Spigen Slim Armor.

The fact that they framed it as some rogue pilots who were threatening Brisbane was wholly irresponsible. That was the point I was making. They took a non-story and spun it into a hoax about a terrorist event in Brisbane that never happened.

Our local grossly irresponsible Sinclair-owned CBS affiliate presented this event last year with the headline “Brisbane residents fear for their lives”, followed by a lot of audio-less video, dramatically jump-cut together, and the frantic news hosts explaining how people were terrified (terrified I tell you!) that the

Good.

Oh come on. Did anyone seriously expect anything other than this?

....but truck owners NEED that capacity for when they pop down to the store to get milk.......

I just think there needs to be more pit action. Pit stops can make or break a race. One cross-threaded nut, one guy not on his game, a collapsed jack stand. Adding more pit stops would mix up the race order during the race itself (rather than this ass-backward reverse grid horseshit they’re talking about).

Hamilton is a whiny little bitch. This is par for the course for him. Honestly I’m surprised Vettel hasn’t piped up too - the pair of them are like two highly strung turbos they whine so much.

Have you seen the remote control tugs for low-clearance aircraft? They solve the reclined seat problem because the marshaller stands next to the aircraft and walks, carrying the remote box on a lanyard around his neck. Those are very cool.

The LIDAR “ears” on top would be a goner in the first hour in any environment that would operate it. Everything else looks pretty rugged and shielded but those two ‘ears’ look like an afterthought.

Right now the only limiting factor for EVs is infrastructure. You almost suffered at the hands of that during your review ride but I’ve seen it so much worse. In the Netherlands last year we stopped at a charging area in Breukelen to goose a friend’s Model S. The line to get to the supercharger station was 14 to 15

Go to the Netherlands, Germany, France, Singapore or Hong Kong (maybe not right now though) and use their public transit systems. You’ll fall in love with them. There is quite honestly no point in renting a car in any of those countries if you’re a visitor.

Vehicle overall? Or road vehicle?

Now playing

Finally - a post talking about motor vehicles I’m intimately familiar with. The rest of you can move on - this is going to be dull and cumbersome and is aimed mostly at Jason.

A thoughtful and well-written piece, but you missed the point. Science, facts, demonstrable failures and easily disproven lies don’t matter to Cinnamon Hitler. His opinion is what counts, no matter how ill-informed and childish it is. You could have done a lot less work by re-writing the headling as “Donald Trump

Leclerc is the better driver. Ferrari either don’t, or refuse to see that. I used to support Vettel and defend his antics at every opportunity in the Red Bull days, but since he moved to Ferrari he’s become a primadonna and lost his edge. Ferrari need to make Leclerc the #1 driver in their team “for the team” or

Physics (not enough weight on each axle), poor choice of tyres (not enough grip), and an utter lack of ability and understanding (not enough intelligence).
