You're right, I didn't mean to come off as rude or pompous. To be honest with you, I've seen our own Kinja commentariat outraged over our discussions redesigns several times over the last few years. It's always been ugly for a few days or weeks, but it eventually calms down, and commenters begin to accept it for what

I like the cut of your jib. I think you'll fit right in on Kinja.

The lack of nested replies is definitely something we're hearing quite a bit of concern about. I'll make sure our product team is aware of your concern, and will leave it to them to address in the future.

You have a beautiful voice.

Ah, I see. No, that's not an option either. But if you'd like I consider this a feature request and send it over to the product team.

If you login with Google, you don't need a password for Kinja, only for your Google account. Burners on the other hand were created as an ultra secure uber anonymous login method for leakers and whistleblowers, hence no recovery options.

I'll be the first to tell you that our discussions system could be improved upon in many ways. Kinja's product team is very receptive to feedback, and will consider all sorts of improvements as long as you guys are willing to share that feedback with us.

Hey, that's not bad. And it leaves ample room for improvement. In a few months, Kinja is gonna be all like "Notice me senpai!"

Well, if you rotate your screen 90 degrees, you'll have comments on the side of the screen once again.

Does that mean the comment I'm replying to was submitted with your "old" A.V. Club credentials?

Tell us how you like to be held.

Facebook, Google, Twitter, or burner. A burner account isn't paired to a social account. The catch with burners though, is that you are only shown the key (password) once, and you cannot change that key at any time. If you lose the key, you are locked out of the account forever.

It's not worth it. Stay with us and let society crumble.

*inhales deeply*

You mean, can images and videos be disabled in comments by a moderator? If that is your question, no, they cannot be disabled.

If the community puts in a little work to learn how to comment on Kinja, and grows accustomed to both the pros and cons of Kinja when compared to Disqus, the comments won't take as much of a negative hit as you think.

You're off key!

Kinja's support team can straighten you out. If you want to get ahead of it before the A.V. Club move, drop us a line with your old account details: https://kinja.desk.com/cust…

I read this in Eazy's voice and am very pleased with that decision.

I am the devil.
