I obviously didn’t know anything about her politics before 2016 (a simpler time when celebrities didn’t broadcast their every opinion) but it seemed like she suffered from the same thing every one else does- spending too much time on the internet and absorbing whatever dumbass opinion they read. Obviously, a lot of us

The trope itself was overstated. Like, there are a few shows where a big man has a hot, thin wife, but none are as passive as Allison was. King of Queens, Carrie was a willing accomplice to Doug’s schemes and had a personality and life of her own. Still Standing both parents are terrible people. So, what is this trope

I really do love Oscar’s speculation. Every year, I tell myself not to get invested so early in the season without having seen the films, but I can’t help myself. It’s fun and completely harmless.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in season 1 also, despite finding Goldsberry fantastic.

Loved it and this whole show. Issa’s Louie Armstrong impression was so funny.

Che’s whole character is being non binary. There are no other layers, which is a shame because Sara Ramirez is a great actor.

It is really ridiculous people who wanted Messing based off of her Lucy Ricardo impression. Maybe if it was a remake of I Love Lucy she’d be fine (but probably still distracting by just copying Ball) but this is about Lucille Ball, who wasn’t a sitcom character. It makes sense that they would want an accomplished

Her best role is in To Die For, and she’s hilarious in that.

I honestly always distrust reports about how something is the most wonderful work environment and how every cast member just loves each other, so this wasn’t shocking!

He seems extremely insincere! That’s sad that SC was considered a toxic work environment.

I miss classic Av Club pans so much.

I watched the first episode and the lead was erratically written; yelling at someone in one instance and then flirting with him in the next, so terrified of being onstage that she should probably do something else. I always intended to go back to it but now there’s no point.

She’s fantastic. I hope she gets more fleshed out but I’ve liked what I’ve seen of the show.

I forgot about Letterkenney! Apologies.

Just an empty, joyless writer.

I’m aware that the article was poorly written. My comment was providing context.

It’s pretty depressing to hear about what a miserable experience it was to work on this show. I loved the first few seasons, and then it became obvious that the characters weren’t growing, I still enjoyed it, but it no longer became must watch for me. It gets compared to Schitt’s Creek a lot because they are the only

John Doyle is a jackass critic for the Globe & Mail who is always saying obnoxious things. This include referring to Dan Levy as fey (a homophobic slur) and this article about the end of Kim’s Convenience, where he basically called Simu Liu ungrateful.

I obviously haven’t seen the show, but Gwen frequently negatively reviews shows when she finds characters unlikeable. Maybe just stick to Disney?

She was fantastic on Mom because she had an actual, multi layered character to play. She still got to do some great slapstick stuff and also showed what a great dramatic actress she is. That is until they made her ridiculously pathetic her last few seasons and then she left before the final season.
