Daddy, tell me the ancient legends of Disqus...

I don’t rightly know how many commenters are still, er, A.V. Club commenters.  I’ve already forgotten the face of my old username.

I’m still reeling from how perfectly MacLachlan snapped back into embodying classic Cooper. If I weren’t already convinced that he deserves all the awards and a major late-career renaissance for his work on this, I’d be now.

“That’s the world we live in now; it’s more violent, more chaotic, and less innocent than the world of 25 years ago.”

Mad props to Kyle MacLachlan for being able to play four characters in the same series so distinctly; and to jump right back into one of them after so long like no time had passed. We didn’t see much of the actual Dougie, but his delivery of the line “That’s weird” remains one of my favorite bits in the early season.

Yes, Diane is...livin’ on Tulpa time.

It’s particularly bad form, since the season finale of Game of Thrones was super long, and there’s bound to be a lot of people who watched that last night (likely thinking “GOT is the show most likely to be spoiled all over the internet if you don’t watch it immediately”) and were saving Twin Peaks for today. I saw Twi

Here, take a star. I can’t believe this greys shit. First the spoiler headline on the front page fo anyone who didn’t watch earlier, now this. Fuck Kinja.

This headline is posted inescapably at the top of the site’s front page.

Yeah, its on the mainpage. I had already seen the episode, but yeah maybe go with a different title. Its not like people have been waiting 25 years for this moment or anything.

It’s in the HEADLINE, which is visible even from the main page.  Should I just not go on the site before I catch up on all my shows?

Spoilers in the headline? What the fuck? Can’t I refresh the reviews page without getting spoiled so heavily? I just wanted to check the letter grade before diving into the episode, and now... well, it won’t be quite as fun, will it, Emily?

I think what makes it most clear they survived was that we didn’t get a last mention of Brienne from Tormund as he died.

The river Jaime fell into had to be the Mander, which goes past Highgarden. Or maybe the Blackwater Rush, depending on how close they were to King’s Landing. But the Reach is the name of the region, not a river.

I thought it was relatively clear they survived - moreso than when Jaime sank into the Reach earlier in the season, in fact. They were running with a bunch of the wildlings behind them as the wall collapsed... then it stopped with only them standing on the part of the Wall that still stood.

I just installed the Chrome extension that promised me I would never have to click “more comments” again. I just had to click “more comments.” :-(

I believe you have! But a lot of cocksuckers have told me that so it’s hard to remember.

Have I ever told you that because of your username/icon, I expect the c-word to accompany your posts way more often?

“Maybe it really is all cocks in the end.”
