(For those who don’t know) The Dreamcast version did eventually leak and find its way online. It’s downloadable, readily burnable to a disc and entirely playable, though the loading times and saving system were not optimized.

And if one owns the rights to the characters, and the other retains the rights to the series (aka the “continuity”), then yeah, it would make sense for these two to hook up if the idea were to pursue either a sequel, reboot, or reimagining of said old series.
