I had a fancasting idea for Shadow that just popped into my head one sleepless night: Jaleel White. A part of me would just be tickled by the idea of the OG Sonic voicing Edgy The Hedgey. It’s always been my theory that the fandom of Star Trek TNG and Stargate SG-1 are hugely overlapping if not exactly the same fandom.

I think what they’ll ultimately do is something in between: Hire a sound-alike for Morty, and stunt cast a celebrity for Rick. More expensive, but it can also make the pivot more marketable. Sorta like how Squidbillies got Tracy Morgan for the lead in its farewell season.
