I have a 2013 2.0 EcoBoost, the transmission is different on that model vs. the V6 models, but I have none of those issues. Apparently, the downside on newer ones, they stiffened the suspension, presumably for fuel economy, safety, the ride is not as enjoyable.

I think you're 100% right...it seems that the more press GM gets (even deaths, cover-ups, lawsuits), the more cars they sell, and the better their stock performs.
