I just bought a new Jeep Cherokee for my mom last week (couldn’t talk her out out of the Cherokee for emotional reasons)....I’ve seen a lot of things over the years of buying 50+ cars - but the opacity and games that the CJDR dealers played was really terrible. you either argue for equality and accept the results of equality, or you argue ‘protect the weaker sex’ - and not. the experience of this site is poor - for that reason - I get it, and support making money - but it’s way too heavy if it can’t load properly and quickly on a modern machine, which it can’t.

87+ the 5.0 was WAY better than the earlier ones - that basket case you found on  CL is probably fair priced at $2500, but it will be another 5-10 grand to make it not a POS.   You’d def be better off with one of the ‘done’ ones - less money, less risks.  But you’d be FAR better off with a 1994 or later Mustang…

and an Expedition will do even better for cheaper than the Denali, either of which are better than some German moneyhole to satisfy Picky Patty

or the wife won’t survive the Lexus....depends on which you’re more interested in keeping long term....could go either way.

How hard can it possibly be to maintain? Every customer that has any old vw = never adjusts brakes, never adjusts valves, actually never does any of the simple maintenance that it requires about every thousand miles....
