“Recall the false promises about corn and cellulosic ethanol,”

At this point why don’t they just make the entire bumper a grille?

Beat me to it!

All that work for a measly 800hp?!? There are B58 cars out there already making nearly 600 at the wheels. Maybe they took the b58 out for r&d purposes

Come on... you know the guy who drives sideways around a track knows way more about designing a car than the team of engineers who built it in the first place.  This is just click bait on Saito’s part.

Oh how exciting. This totally changes my desire to buy this car when I can take out a new, modern engine and replace it with an old and abused one.

15 years from now. GM starts a new division called “Julty” selling Tahoes with angry faces. They sell great until a gas crunch happens.

“conservative” in this case is likely the other way around. Conservative reporting means reporting at the less favorable end of the range. We usually think of it as under-reporting things like money but it can be over-reporting things too. In this case, the “conservative” speed estimate is the one that protects you

Or we could work harder on educating pedestrians to not walk out into the road without looking, keep a closer eye on their kids, and have cyclists and bikers keep to the fucking edge of the road.

but I’ve got to try out that gear selector before making a judgement. Because it looks wacky.

FUCKING MEGATRON OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE

All day! BMW4lyfe

I imagine the Supra has significantly more torque than the ‘86.  They’re both 2 liters but the Supra is boosted.   The BMW 2 liter turbo is a pretty sweat engine.

I like those tires too.

I had set of DWS06 on my Civic. They are great.

I have some old used nascar tires from 1995 I bought as surplus take offs from a cup car. I live in nome alaska and they serve me well in winter on my 6,000hp nitromethane AWD Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser.

Conti DWS06 is the tire that convinced me I needed winter tires. And this was on a Jaguar X-type AWD! But I live in the country. Hills and snow.

I’m in the Boston area and have had my Volvo on DWS06s for nearly the last year. Didn’t get a ton of snow, but they did very respectably on ice last year. I’m interested to see how they handle this uear, after 10k miles

Ha, same. I did like the Z2s better on the one day it snowed, though, so the temptation to go from the RE71Rs to the Z3s is very high.

I run either Advan A048's or Bridgestone RE71R’s year round.
