Yup. Hell, the United States Nuclear Arsenal is still powered by 8" floppies. They’re not scheduled to be phased out until the end of THIS year.

Fuck those RFTs. Even with the lack of a spare, I refuse to use them.
I like my N52. Simple, straight forward, Inline 6. No turbos. No waste gate rattle. Way less power, but still enough to be fun. Just requires the occasional ignition coil and $300 Eccentric Shaft Sensor. haha
Still in use. They keep these things operational at the McLaren Service Center in Woking.
They’re trying to justify their flammable issues at the Rolex 24 hours by releasing a mid-engine Ferrari lookalike into the wild.......
That would basically be what BMW has been doing for years. Sure, it’s got a huge alternator on it, but everything else is electric. You can cram those accessories anywhere in the engine bay if they don’t depend on the belt to power them.
Seeing as how there’s only 100 out of 106 left, I’m sure there’s just no interest. The people who do own the cars that are now worth $10 million, just call McLaren and have them picked up and taken to Woking for service. lol
It’s not the software. It’s the hardware. There’s a bespoke CA card in these particular laptops allowing them to interface with the car’s computer.
Depends. Do you have this exact computer sitting in your garage? Then probably pretty hard. lol
It’s a “custom” transmission build from GM called the GA6L45R. Which is just a 6L45 with a $9,000 price premium. lol
The 335 has a ZF transmission in it. The 328 is only 230hp.
Well, their powertrain equipment is used the world over in all sorts of stuff. Shit, BMW uses their transmissions. My ‘07 328xi has a GM 6-speed auto in it.
There, fixed that picture to match your headline.
This seems totally legit. You could probably get a NEW Bentley Flying Spur from Walmart for $48k. It will, however, feature a vinyl interior, simulated wood trim, and the engine out of a 2012 Volkwagen Jetta TDI that was recovered during Dieselgate.
xDrive is a capable AWD system. The newer 328i is also turbo-powered with the N20 four banger, or with the N55 six pot. I personally like my BMW AWD 4-door non-turbo sedan, but I might be biased due to hating the sound of the Boxer engine in the Subie. :-)
I don’t think any BMW owner would seriously recommend trading a Mazda for a 335i with xDrive. The N54/55 is a nightmare for maintenance. A 328i with xDrive can be had more affordably, with less maintenance issues, and a mostly bulletproof N52. (It’s a BMW. It’s not perfect. But way more reliable than the N54/55. …
I still tell my husband regularly the only reason he let me have a chance is because of my BMW........he denies it. It’s ok. I know the truth. lol
That would be pretty damn ironic, since Henry Ford was anti-Semetic as shit. lol
Yeah, I’m with you there. Never saw the Bronco and Jeep as even being on similar pages. What did they have in common? They were trucks and both could have the roof removed? That’s about where the similarities end. The last gen Bronco was basically a SWB F-150 4x4 convertible. lol
