What is the deal with German cars and secondary air injection systems? My, let’s call it an Opel Omega MV6 (ok, it was a Cadillac Catera), was in the shop at least 10 times for the secondary air injection pump. I finally got sick of it and just got used to my car sounding like a Kirby vacuum cleaner whenever it was

It’s Las Vegas. Plowing through that traffic, he only damaged about $3500 worth of abused rental cars. lol

Given VW’s current designs and build quality? Yeah, at least as cheap, if not worse. Toyota’s, not so much. But if you’re going to compare cheap parts bins, you can’t only pick on Fiat. They ALL do it. You’re still getting a heap of parts out of a much cheaper vehicle.

Are you only perceiving the parts bin moving down and not up? If I got into an S-Class at $150,000 and saw door switches and other gear from a commuter van, I’d be pissed. More people are familiar with these parts from cheaper cars made for the masses than vice versa.

Indiana’s looks like this, so very similar to normal Sheriff’s plates.

It was rumored to be in the design phase. They were toying around with the idea of making it a Maserati Grand Cherokee when it was the Kubang. The Levante is just a jacked up Quattroporte wagon with all wheel drive. :-)

Meanwhile, Indiana just issued 146,000 more types of specialty plates. It literally took me 15 minutes to scan the options for our plates at the DMV. I settled on the obvious choice for a BMW, the Indiana Sheriff’s Association Supporter plate, complete with badge. lol

Screw Roscoe’s. I hope they go belly up. They sued a restaurant in Chicago called “Rosscoe’s” for using their name, because they were bringing a location here. In 2008. They still haven’t bothered to put one in anywhere, but if you want great Chicken and Waffles, go to Chicago’s Home of Chicken and Waffles. Way better.

My bad. Really tiny print on my screen. I was comparing Double vs. Crew.

Blind spots? No such thing on a Porsche. Their drivers don’t look. They just assume people will move for them. lol j/k

I’m sort of curious as to what the real difference is between the Chevys and the GMCs. Identical trucks, different crash ratings.

No, it has 6 wheels. Do you think the duals in the rear share a wheel? Unless you mean hubs, then yes, there’s only 4. :-)

I drove an Alero from Phoenix to San Diego at 116 degrees. I actually TRIED to blow that fucker up. I decided that it would be better to stand in the desert at 116 degrees than drive that shit heap. IT. WOULDN’T. DIE.

Well, you can’t have it. Dr. Evil bought it and is storing it somewhere. Dr. Evil being:

Yup, the Pontiac is a Toyota Matrix, and the Saturn is an Opel.

Could have reinvented it like Cadillac if they really wanted to. The Aurora program showed so much promise in it’s infancy. :-)

I think it did make up it’s mind 2009. lol

Do they all really have that gaudy “Interceptor” across the leading edge of the hood? I’ve never paid attention, honestly.

Is that the Michigan entry point on I-94? You drove right by my house!

I think it was just an updated version of the 60's. The fins and grilles and etc in 60's Caddies were invoking flight and air travel and opulent luxury. The current design language does a lot of the same, but in more of a sporty, Stealth fighter kind of way. The same, just different. :-)
