I saw the original during its original run. Loved it.

On what planet or what country is it a “privilege” to buy a cell phone? Certainly not the US on Earth.

It sure is a good thing I have a private office room and close my door.

When Willow and Oz first started dating.

I’d like to imagine that that’s obvious.

I knew Richard Pryor was to blame for Kara’s woe! With his super computer knowledge he got from taking one class.

*b0ldy steps in front of the firing line*

I found it odd how “United States-centric” it was. Personally, I think any major modern North American wizarding community would be based out of Mexico City. Any young wizards in colonial Massachussets would have just traveled down to boarding school in Mexico City which would have already been a large European-based

This just strikes me with the similarities to George Lucas. Not the retconning, but the fact that no one would stand up to him. From a friend of mine who knew and worked with him, they said he was the nicest guy but by the time they did Return of the Jedi, no one would say no to him and he didn’t have anyone shooting

I’m sure the Aztec Blood Magi would have something to say about this animal and plant magic nonsense.

between robots and expert systems just about every job at every level can be replaced. Hell evolutionary programming is already writing things like airplane autopilots...the robots can even replace the programmers. A national Basic income is a massive need

I knew this was going to be mentioned. I know book eight was slow and book 10 a slog but after that it course-corrected, got very plot-advancing, and still was 14 books long. Maybe one book less wouldn’t have hurt, but it was long as it was epic.

I would need all the space bleach the replicators could manage if I was using the Holodeck after Riker.

I smell a remake of Small Wonder...

These two movies need to meet and spawn an even more ridiculous visual spectacle. I’m sure the backers of these two movies could be convinced to do it one more time.

I could see autonomous cars hitting the market in limited form in under 25 years. For example, if you’re a cab driver under 45 you might want to look at other options, because that’s going to be the first to go automatic.

But one day there’ll be millions on the road with various levels of wear and repair and quality of design. It can happen.

I dunno man. Leave them dead on earth. They wouldn’t wanna be here anyway.
